TBH I've always thought this and think cat folk are generally more 'intuitive' and generally more intelligent?

Yanbu Grin

hands hard hat

MitziKinsky · 02/12/2011 22:21

I was going to say YABVVVVVVVVU.

But as a cat owner, I might just agree. Grin

LEttletownofBOFlehem · 02/12/2011 22:21

No, you're wrong. Cat people are more easily dominated.

mycatsaysach · 02/12/2011 22:21

i've got both

dexter73 · 02/12/2011 22:21

I have both - what does that make me?

SquishyCinnamonSwirls · 02/12/2011 22:21

Utterly.

What's your theory on people who have both?

Dawndonnathatchristmasiscoming · 02/12/2011 22:22

My dog says bugger orf!
Xmas Grin

bamboobutton · 02/12/2011 22:22

what if you have cats and dogs?

FantasticVoyage · 02/12/2011 22:22

yanbu.

In fact, iPhone autocorrect just suggested replacing "yanbu" with "tabby" so there's definitely something in it.

tethersjinglebellend · 02/12/2011 22:22

I have neither.

Do I win £5?

LEttletownofBOFlehem · 02/12/2011 22:23

In fact, I'll go further. I think cat people are probably floppy parents too- all about Tarquin expressing himself and "please don't do that darling, it's not kind, ow ow owwww".

troisgarcons · 02/12/2011 22:23

OOh good one ... I've had cats and dogs, not at the same time.

Dog is a pack animal and the human dominates the dog, no question of that

The cat however controls us..... to the point we dont shift her off the bed if she looks comfy and we sleep on the sofa!!!!

Dear God! I just admitted the cat controls me!!!

FunnysInTheGarden · 02/12/2011 22:23

ah, if you have both then you are the perfect mix, and should be congratulated

what if you have dog, cats, rabbit, and goldfish????

AgentZigzag · 02/12/2011 22:24

We have one dog and two cats.

I'm thick as pig shit though Confused

Why don't the two cancel out the one?

Dog is bigger than both cats put together I suppose.

FunnysInTheGarden · 02/12/2011 22:24

tethers yes. UNLESS you own a hamster or similar

ElizabethPonsonby · 02/12/2011 22:25

I've always found dogs made me feel more intelligent, as I'm obviously cleverer than them....one look from a cat however and I know the truth...they are far smarter than me!!!

MrsChristmasDB · 02/12/2011 22:25

OOOH< I'm a perfect mix ! Xmas Grin

I have both. Plus extras.

TinyArmy · 02/12/2011 22:25

We have both right now. I'm always a bit torn as I think I am an animal person in general. I could never pick between dogs and cats! And I've met some stupid owners of both. Just goes to show, you can't judge a person by their pets. But you can judge a pet by their person. Terrible people have terrible pets.

3wisemenandacameltoeinlycra · 02/12/2011 22:26

I have cats, dogs, Birds and a Snail, apart from making me feel like Noah, where do I fit on the intelligence scale?

microcow · 02/12/2011 22:27

wow mumsnet is such an insightful site on a friday night

BarfTheHeraldAngelsHeave · 02/12/2011 22:27

aaaaaahahahahahahaaa

You could argue that Dog owners are better than cat owners as their pet loves them, rather than just tolerates them until the message comes from the mothership to take over the world and finish off their enslavement of the human race permanently.
