TBH I've always thought this and think cat folk are generally more 'intuitive' and generally more intelligent?

not thick but just...odd. I love looking out of my kitchen window to the local park. Peering through the sheeting rain, snow, sleet, listening to the howling wind and seeing some human, wrapped in waterproofs freezing their arse off, carefully picking up dog shit off the muddy ground and carrying it round in a plastic bag. yup, never wonder why I haven't got a dog.

MrsChristmasDB · 02/12/2011 22:28

3wise

You are like me. Perfect, with extras. Xmas Grin

tethersjinglebellend · 02/12/2011 22:29

Nope, Funny, nothing.

Although we did find a dead mouse in DD's toy box, does that count?

FunnysInTheGarden · 02/12/2011 22:29

3wise you are way up there. We have cat(s) sometimes in the plural, fish, hamsters and snails. They keep the fish tank wonderfully clean! Not the hamsters or cats you understand

Cats do keep fish tanks clean! well mine did, they cleaned the fish out so it didn't get dirty Grin

SantasNutellaFairy · 02/12/2011 22:31

YABU.

I have known extremely thick dog owners, and equally as stupid cat owners.
Conversely, I have known very intelligent owners of both species.

Yama · 02/12/2011 22:32

My Mum has a cat. The way I see it - the cat represents my Mum rather than control her. Both are willful.

I don't mind dogs. Owners who don't pick up their dog's poo (and there are lots of them) I'd happily rub their noses in the aforementioned excrement.

FunnysInTheGarden · 02/12/2011 22:33

ummmmmm, not really tethers it needs to be something you can nurture, and ideally not dead. Nevermind, at least you're not a 'dog person'

I have no pets so...no mess to clean up, no smelly house [all animals smell - had enough of them to know that], no having to clean up pet hair that gets everywhere, and no vets bills, insurance & pet food to pay for...bliss. I used to have pets, but I am pet-free and love it.

maxpower · 02/12/2011 22:35

loving this - yanbu!

flyingspaghettimonster · 02/12/2011 23:01

Does that make cat owners lazier? I have two cats and couldn't imagine going for walks in the rain, splashing happily through puddles, when I could be curled up on a sofa with a good book and a cat. SO I guess cat owners are lazier and smarter and fatter.

FunnysInTheGarden · 02/12/2011 23:03

yes flying I am as lazy as they come and also quite fat...........

troisgarcons · 02/12/2011 23:04

no no no no .... no and no again ....do not go up the small rodent route ....... I have rodent stories that make me sound like a mass murderer .....

BertieBotts · 02/12/2011 23:04

LeBOF brilliant! I'm a cat person and definitely lean to the "expressing themselves" school of parenting (I'm not a nob who inflicts it on others, though) and DP is a dog person and tends to be more of the bribery & naughty step leaning...

AmanitaMuscaria · 02/12/2011 23:11

MenopausalHaze "Is this really the best anyone can do for a Friday night?

LEttletownofBOFlehem · 02/12/2011 23:16

I can see a new parenting book in this theory, BertieBotts. You can never have too many, eh? Xmas Grin

ratspeakeratsolstice · 02/12/2011 23:19

He doesnt have a dog

Indaba · 02/12/2011 23:46

My cat is intelligent. And out-wits our dog all the time.

My dog is stupid. And the cat tells demonstrates it so, often.

Clearly, I am both Grin

MWB22 · 02/12/2011 23:54
