Whether you supported them or not?

swc is correct about provision for ASD. It is appalling in this country.

In fact, SN provision in this country is appalling.

There is no investment in research and no SEN specialism for training teachers.

However, I do not see this as indicative of the failure of public services, but a failure of a particular service. I am certain that SEN provision should not be farmed out to the private sector- some of the private educational provision for students with SEN (particularly ESBD) is horrendous; focused purely on profit.

It was busier at the shopping centres Grin

trixymalixy · 01/12/2011 23:07

And you chose to comment facetiously on a post of mine, so I felt the need to reply

dancingmustard · 01/12/2011 23:08

Agree with SWC and TJB .
And SN funding should not have anything to do with profit.
The people we really should be looking after in society get overlooked when the squabbling starts.

it wasn't a non event for me. It's made me want to swap my private sector job for a job in the public sector where I'll get a pension, as opposed to having NO pension in my private sector role, which is the case at the moment. Am loving Deborah Rearden on Question Time. It's not about right and wrong. It's about
'we have no money'..

iggi999 · 01/12/2011 23:12

You replied by misrepresenting what I said - well that's ok then.
I haven't posted anything facetious in response to your posts.

chibi · 01/12/2011 23:12

Go for it, lottielou, apparently any asshole can do my job, provided they are greedy, negligent, lazy and venal enough :(

iggi999 · 01/12/2011 23:13

Welcome aboard Lottie.

SantieMaggie · 01/12/2011 23:30

Ditto chibi :(

Thingumy · 01/12/2011 23:46

ah yeah,Deborah Rearden seen her in our town buying shit in the posho shop that none of us who live here can afford to buy,Bless her.

lottielou39 · 01/12/2011 23:57

damn those rich bitches who can afford to buy shit from posho shops eh?!!
How very dare she become a self made millionaire? She must have mugged some public sector workers to invest in it.

Spermysextowel · 02/12/2011 04:06

I think that quoting someone from Dragon's Den as saying 'we have no money' is a little naive. Not in the sense that she has no money, but most of us don't on the scale that she has.

Spermysextowel · 02/12/2011 04:09

Oops! Got Deborah Readen mixed up with Deborah Meaden.
