Here is the video of it happening.

Do you think the police should respond?

claig · 29/11/2011 17:16

But Animation, she is probably not always like that, or she would have been banged up long ago.

Other people, both white and black, can explode under stress etc. and spout vile abuse, but that is not how they normally are either. People can become enraged and get involved in mad arguments etc, and road rage, triggered by minor things. I don't think they should have their children removed.

Animation · 29/11/2011 17:20

Claig - I think she needs checking out at least. Not normal to lay into a train like that.

mayorquimby · 29/11/2011 17:20

but what reasonable conditions could be imposed to safeguard him and against what specific conduct?

claig · 29/11/2011 17:22

Animation, I agree that it is not normal behaviour and I am sure she will be looked at.

Animation · 29/11/2011 17:26

Some kind of kind of risk assessment needs to be carried out - is the kid at risk? Is she unstable, not coping, out of control - or is it a one off?

claig · 29/11/2011 17:30

That will probably be done. I just hope that she doesn't lose her child based on a crazy, racist rant on a tube train. She needs to be punished, but that risks being draconian.

mayorquimby · 29/11/2011 17:31

perhaps but chances are she's a quite sane individual with some absolutely dispicable views and a sense of entitlement. Nothing illegal about that. Still couldn't hurt to have a look at her but as I say chances are she's fine and then all she's been charged with is a public order offence. Not much in the way of sentencing to safeguard the kid I'd imagine.
(based on what we know as of yet. there could be a string of previous convictions and mental health reports that would completely change the context.)

2BoysTooLoud · 29/11/2011 17:40

I think all this publicity is going to make life difficult for her. Hopefully she will be forced to look at her views/ behaviour.
A rather inadequate individual I imagine at the best of times.

Dillydaydreaming · 29/11/2011 17:43

She sounded pissed or drugged to the eyeballs to be quite frank. THAT is why the risk to her child needs looking at.

nicknamenotinuse · 29/11/2011 17:45

Vile horrible stupid ignorant woman and please someone take her child from her so he has half a chance in life. Poor boy, to be the son of that.

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 29/11/2011 17:54

moorland, of course I mind it Hmm my point was that which matters more? someone swearing or someone spouting vile shit like that? And for people to say well, I don't so much mind what she was saying, but to swear in front of children is disgusting...

well. words fail me.

rockinhippy · 29/11/2011 18:02

the fact that the poor DC barely flinches whilst she's spouting her vile diatribe tells me that the poor might is more than used to it :(

I don't say it lightly, but I really hope they do take him off her & place him with someone who cares enough not to subject him to witnessing that kind of vile tripe - she's not fit to be a Mother Angry

KeepInMindItsAlmostChristmas · 29/11/2011 18:12

What a vile excuse for a human being and an even worse excuse of a mother.

Her poor child needs to be taken in to care.

KeepInMindItsAlmostChristmas · 29/11/2011 18:13

Drunk/High or just plain mad she is vile

claig · 29/11/2011 18:15

But KeepInMindItsAlmostChristmas, Keep In Mind Its Almost Christmas

'Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.'

KeepInMindItsAlmostChristmas · 29/11/2011 18:22

Almost Christmas or not she is disgusting, and should not be in charge of the welfare of that child.
And for the Record I have never taken drugs and have never been drunk while taking care of a child

flatbread · 29/11/2011 18:25

Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.'
Claig what? So you think because we all have some foibles, we should accept the racist rant from that woman? Hmm

I think we need a zero tolerance policy towards racism and not excuse it with some lame excuse about all of us being sinners or some such tripe

claig · 29/11/2011 18:25

'And for the Record I have never taken drugs and have never been drunk while taking care of a child'

Good for you, but you want to deprive a mother of her child for those things. I think that is heartless and cruel, worse than the woman who made the racist rant.

claig · 29/11/2011 18:27

'we should accept the racist rant from that woman?'

I said she should be punished for a racially aggravated public order offence. Nothing about acceptance there. But not punished by removing her child. I think that is a sin.

KeepInMindItsAlmostChristmas · 29/11/2011 18:28

Claig that woman is not fit to raise phlegm let alone a child.
Are you that much of a guardian reading tree hugger that you would condemn that poor child to a life being brought up by that sack of shit????

ImperialBlether · 29/11/2011 18:30

It's not a matter of punishing her by taking her child away from her. It's a matter of giving the child a fair chance in life. He deserves his chance of a happy home life and childhood and, from what I could see, his mum wasn't giving him that.

claig · 29/11/2011 18:32

She is not a sack of shit, she is a human being who has made disgusting racist statements and should be prosecuted for that. That doesn't make her a sack of shit.

I don't read the Guardian. I read the Daily Mail. Out of interest what paper do you read?

ArtVandelay · 29/11/2011 18:34

I want to cry at that little boy. He's so quiet. Look at him looking at his doll and wiggling it about :( :( :(

KeepInMindItsAlmostChristmas · 29/11/2011 18:35

Well she sure knows how to act like a sack of shit.

You seem very fond of sticking up for her, go on tell us are you her/ related to her or something?

Byeckersitsapropercrimbolike · 29/11/2011 18:35

She was clearly on drugs, she was chewing her own face off! What a vile woman...
