To put my tree up on 10 December

DD is being Christened on Sun 11th, and I think there will obv be a Christmas theme at the service (its part of the family service). Having about 30 people back here for buffet lunch party - will it be a real let down if there's no tree/no decs? Its hideously early, but am thinking of getting it up..... naff?

We're putting ours up on the 17th/18th this year. I'd prefer to leave it til Christmas Eve.
Always leave it up til 12th Night.

Artificial tree though, I'm allergic to pine.
