Because clearly most of us are doing it wrong.

We are always carping on MN apparently. And going on about the poor and how hard their lives are. I think this should be addressed forthwith!

Should there be a sort of new form of address? 'Hail, oh beacon of success, may your hard work be always rewarded, may no-one ever accuse you of being lucky, may your children always be able to walk in the hallowed corridors of private schooling without ridicule, and may the forces of socialism and the whingeing, feckless poor never darken your sight!'

Would that do it?

Define 'wealthy' and 'self-made'.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 24/11/2011 13:02

Awww Orm... now I have to hide this one as well. :(

Why does everybody keep talking about money? What they've got and what they haven't go? It's really boring, well to me anyway and not very good manners.

OrmIrian · 24/11/2011 13:02

I wouldn't dare! I'd get it wrong.

You forgot 'and may your taxes only be used for the truly worthwhile causes and certainly not to help those that haven't bothered to pull themselves out of the grime that is all northern towns'

Wink
OrmIrian · 24/11/2011 13:03

See I made that point on the other thread lying! About good manners. But no-one noticed it Sad

lurks on thread to collate spreadsheet of wealthy people to email for a handout

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 24/11/2011 13:06

I noticed it... you have nice manners, the others obviously don't. Grin

Psammead · 24/11/2011 13:08

Well I think we should have monopoly style icons next to our names.

Top hat for wealthy
Iron for SAHM
Dog for rabid poster
Boot for commoners

Etc.

That way we all know where we stand in the heirarchy and can defer to our betters.

Pagwatch · 24/11/2011 13:09

I would like cake. If that is possible.

We should be allowed to retire behind our gated communities in Weybridge, excused from paying taxes and have no contact with the poor feckless of society unless they are serving us. Those we do come into contact with should, of course, recognise that they are of inferior rank and act with due deferrence at all times.

They had it right in Miss Austen's times.

nethunsreject · 24/11/2011 13:10

Pmsl!

How about ' Oh SHining Light of Meritocracy'

Or ' Oh, deserving rich one' ??

More like they 'married well'

Pagwatch · 24/11/2011 13:11

Oh this is all arse munching isn't it?

Can't we talk about cake. I like cake. I liked battenberg but peeled the marzipan off which kind of made it just sponge.

ColdSancerre · 24/11/2011 13:11

Pag why haven't you posted a pic of your new pup yet? I just clicked to see and no pic. It must be nearly grown up by now.

Psammead · 24/11/2011 13:13

Does chocolate eclair with whipped cream count as cake?

If so, let's talk about cake.

FunnysInTheGarden · 24/11/2011 13:13

I need you to treat me with the utmost respect, pref illustrated by copious arse licking. HTH

FunnysInTheGarden · 24/11/2011 13:14

my sister is bringing some applecake with her tomozza when she visits. You can try it if you like

Pagwatch · 24/11/2011 13:15

DD broke my camera. I have just got a new phone so will take some.

(or, in other words, I am a bit crap)

mycatsaysach · 24/11/2011 13:16

Grin i was going to say bow and scrape

i like the monopoly idea though

Pagwatch · 24/11/2011 13:16

Yes, eclair counts. I have eclairs in the fridge but am trying to avoid carbs.

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 24/11/2011 13:19

If I were one such poster I'd expect cake, daily at 4 please.

Ariesgirl · 24/11/2011 13:22

I am self made. Bow down immediately.
