Three AIBU threads gone poof in an hour.

OP posts:
ChippingInNeedsSleep · 21/11/2011 13:42

Because 'unreasonable' doesn't describe their behaviour?

It is not simply 'unreasonable' to pretend to have a language barrier and to say that people who are pregnant and on benefits should terminate their pregnancies, especially if you are just stirring the pot.

Piss off you semi literate div - covers that a lot better.

That's why. Do you get it now?

BaronessBomburst · 21/11/2011 13:42

entropygirl Believe me, I did see the thread and "piss off, you semi-literate div" was the only correct response!

entropygirl · 21/11/2011 13:42

I had read the thread...just not directly before it was deleted...as I say in the actual words in my post.

Get0rf · 21/11/2011 13:42

The thread wasn't moderate at all - it was started purely to cause fight. I don't think you can say that the OP was at all measured and inoffensive whatsoever.

With respect, if you saw only the initial 30 posts you are not getting a true reading of the thread. There were a great many what you would term 'rational' posts, to which the OP did not bother responding to and was rude herself.

There have been a great many benefits/SN/disabled bashing threads on MN over the years, I have given up starting a decent conversation on the ones started by people who are evidently as thick as pigshit, I am just blunt in the hope that they bugger off and leave MN to the people who can construct a reasonable and comprehensible argument.

ChippingInNeedsSleep · 21/11/2011 13:43

What does 'inside information' have to do with it. It was all on other threads, under the same name - out there for anyone to see.

Get0rf · 21/11/2011 13:45

Thank you for the 'people like me' explanation. Hmm

I actually did apologise for personal attack a couple of posts later. I very very rarely resort to personal attacks (do a search on my name if you desire).

I personally am not going to explain myself to 'people like you' i.e. someone who has an opinion on a deleted thread without having actually read it.

Peachy · 21/11/2011 13:46

'moderate people dont get to debate an interesting POV

It is categorically impossible to think someone should be amde to erminate becuase of poverty and be a moderate.

Is all.

MrsChristmasDB · 21/11/2011 13:47

Hello All.

I am starting to get all twee and sentimental, because it is nearly the season of good will to all men.

I am going to be doing lovely, helpful (if I can) posts. I don't want no arguments or rowing. Been too much of a shitty year for me to be bothered to argue anymore. And I don't wanna be told off by MNHQ again.

Just sayin'.

As you were. Grin

Peachy · 21/11/2011 13:48

Bottom poster works with kids with SN who have a much rasied cahnce of poverty becuase of the way things just are.

And posted the thread debated?

Get0rf · 21/11/2011 13:48

I am going to go on style and beauty and start a row about mum boots.

entropygirl · 21/11/2011 13:50

fwiw I totally agreed about the thread, the opinion stated etc. and maybe it really was a troll. But maybe it wasnt.

I just dont think it is right, good or appropriate that people can homogenize the content of MN by using a loop hole in the rules.

So you think someone's a troll, then report it. You think someone is being unreasonable you give them a YABU.

If you personally attack them then you are breaking the rules.

I personally think that MN should be a lot tougher on this. As in three deleted posts for personal attacks and you are out.

I do think divot is a great word and I appreciate that telling someone to piss off isnt exactly the worst thing you will see on here today. But while I love a good spunk chiselling monkey-wank-wrench of a swear at life in general, I think telling someone to piss off is out of order. Especially when YABVVU says it all.

LadyBeagleEyes · 21/11/2011 13:50

The one with the woman with 5 kids plus her late sister's kids had the same name as the poster discussing periods.

Get0rf · 21/11/2011 13:52

I never knew that div meant divot

I agree with you entropy, and I did surprise myself. I don't normally resort to personal attacks but that OP just pissed me off.

Troll hunting - if I have suspicions I just report the thread and then fuck off out of it.

entropygirl · 21/11/2011 13:52

once again for the hard of reading...I did read the thread just not directly before it disappeared...are we all straight on that now?

oh what's the point.

Tianc · 21/11/2011 13:53

GetOrf, can I be a person like you?

ShirleyKnot · 21/11/2011 13:53

I would find AIBU must MORE homogenised with just an entire thread of people saying "YABVVU"

I find people making grand sweeping generalisation far more offensive than "piss off" actually.

MrsChristmasDB · 21/11/2011 13:54

Whenever I read 'divot' I always want to shout "WHOO WHOO WHOO" like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. And do the fist pumping thing !

entropygirl · 21/11/2011 13:55

Well I apologize for saying people like getorf....there must be a better way to lump people in to stereotypes refer to a group of people who share only one characteristic but who are otherwise diverse and special and unique and may in fact only ever have been rude once.

I saw the apology on the thread, alas it was swamped by people egging on....although obvs that's not your fault.

Get0rf · 21/11/2011 13:57

TBH I came on straight away to apologise, mainly because I thought most people would say 'getorf you're a wanker' for telling someone to piss off.

Last time I was horrible to someone on a threda (ages ago) I came back to apologise and in the meantime the OP had called the whole of MN 'a sad, fat lot' Grin so I felt somewhat viondicated.

Pagwatch · 21/11/2011 13:59

Entropygirl

Errm...you might want to re read your own post. You may have intended to say "I did read the thread before"
But you actually typed "I didn't read the thread before"

Which makes your 'oh 'ffs can't you read' postings quite funny

Grin
Pagwatch · 21/11/2011 14:01

Grin I especially love

As I say in the actual words in my post

And

Oh what's the point

I love you a little bit

SinicalSal · 21/11/2011 14:01

how about YABAT?

you are being a troll
