use a web address as a statement

I'm tired dot com!! No you're just fucking tired why put .com on the bloody end.

Does anyone else hate this and if so what's the most cringe worthy example you have heard.

Oh good

I didn't see if you replied. I couldn't remember what thread it was on and had real life to deal with. Which is unreasonable tbh.

Really laughing at "I didn't see if you replied. I couldn't remember what thread it was on and had real life to deal with" - that sounds so MN passive aggressive Grin

AuntieMaggie · 06/11/2011 19:05

I really fecking hate it when someone says "lastminute dot com" when they leave something to the last minute!

comedycentral · 06/11/2011 19:06

YANBU.COM ;-)

Pagwatch · 06/11/2011 19:07
Grin Yes it does! Didn't mean it like that.

It could have been massive tit. It works. I am massive tit or twat.

Clossaintjacques · 06/11/2011 19:08

So for those of you that don't like it, what cringey things did you say in your teenage years?

Mine was putting 'man' at the end of every sentence.

OP posts:
Blu · 06/11/2011 19:11

StJaques - yes, hyou are Fart-tastic.com.

Pagwatch · 06/11/2011 19:12

I have been trying to find a beautifully embroidered "wanker.com" Jamie, but no one has though of that. People today are just not creative

GetOrf · 06/11/2011 19:12

Grin pag - mumsnet makes me see passive aggressiveness everywhere.

Clossaintjacques · 06/11/2011 19:13

Pag Grin

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 06/11/2011 19:13

I did the 'man' thing too, 'far out man' [old hippy]

MyCatHasStaff · 06/11/2011 19:13

In a Janice Dickinson way: Oh Maaaaaan??

PrettyCandles · 06/11/2011 19:15

My ds does this, but he's eleven - and even he acknowledges that it is totally unfunny. ("Unfunny-like, daaat CAAAAM")

-ola has gone full circle. When I was in my teens it was a really old-fogey thing that only old people trying to be trendy said.

GetOrf · 06/11/2011 19:16

Is this the kind of embroidery you want pag www.mrxstitch.com/meet-the-mr-x-stitch-family/mrxstitch/

NoHunIntended · 06/11/2011 19:19

I think it may have come from the Confused.com adverts, maybe?

Pagwatch · 06/11/2011 19:21

Outstanding googling Getorf!

(I hope it was googling)

Clossaintjacques · 06/11/2011 19:21

Wasn't the man thing from the young ones though?

OP posts:
GetOrf · 06/11/2011 19:22

No! Someone linked to that cross stitch site on the Kirstie's Homemade Crap thread, and it made me laugh.

olibeansmummy · 06/11/2011 20:34

Yep totally cringeworthy! And I HATE hashtag whatever. It's trying too hard to be cool because you KNOW about twitter. I'm looking at you Olly Muirs!

EricNorthmansMistress · 06/11/2011 20:43

It started with confused.com. YANBU - it's awful.

We used to say Not.... I like you so much...not! Your shoes are cool...not! Wankers.

Hashtag is truly heinous. I don't like twitter at all, the hashtag is a thing that people put at the end of their posts like #iamadick #wantacupoftea #somethingelsecompletelyinane and if anyone searched for #iwantacupoftea then every post that includes that hashtag will be found. Why? #nofuckingidea
