To just want to get and stay pregnant?

I mean how HARD can it be, everyone else seems to be able to manage it judging by
a) my friends
b) the local park
c) my office

YANBU and you are right, it does seem bloody hard at times. I hope you have better luck soon. It's always when things aren't working out for you that every other woman you see seems to have a massive bump though isn't it?

yanbu. its shit. and it doesnt seem to get any easier. when I think of all the years I took the pill, used condoms, panicked about drunken fumbles... should've saved myself the bother.

I feel your pain. I am so ready. In fact I am over ready, having had to wait for my husband to be ready. And now it is not happening. I would have loved my kids to have been able to play with my friends' kids but they are all growing up now.

:(

I am sad and hormonal today. I am full of PMT hormones and when my period comes that will mean we are on cycle 12 of properly trying (as opposed to just being a bit casual about contraception). 11 cycles of perfectly-timed dtd and nada.

Agree with lizzie about not bothering with contraception for all those years and all those lectures about don't go enar a boy, you will get pregnant.

been over 6 years for us now (13 mc's and an ep) and every month my hopes raise just a little bit. for example, my period is due today and hasnt shown up. so, bearing in mind that we only had sex twice this month because Ive been ill, on CD10 and CD25 you'd think that I would be resigned to getting pissed at my friends wedding and glaring at all the well meaning dears who ask me when Im going to give ds a sibling, wouldnt you?

I hovered over the HPTs in boots today and spent an hour prodding my boobs.

and some people make it seem so easy.

I do a lot of blocking on FB.

ah, its ok. and any other day i am quite laid back about it, it is what it is, and I am lucky to have ds. but there seem to be a billion announcements at the moment (havent they heard of tv?) and I am fed up about it all.

a girl who was pg at the same time as i was with ds (both our dc1) announced her fourth the other week. and she is moaning about how hard it is being pg, esp with 3 dc's, the youngest of whom isnt one.

she has gone.

although, my lovely bf rang up to tell me that he and his dw were expecting their second. he said "DW is pg again, due in march, so 12w. we have scan next week. Im going to hang up now, let you cry and throw the phone at the wall. ring back when you are ready" that was lovely.

YANBU - I've been there. I just assumed that you have sex, get pregnant and 9/10 months later a baby pops out. How wrong was I? I ended up having IVF, the pregnancy from hell (huge scary bleeds for first 12 weeks) and a 3 month prem baby who spent the first 2 months of his life in hospital. And despite that I know I am one of the lucky ones.

If it's any consolation to you there were 4 couples in our circle (us included) who had been trying for years and years to get pregnant without success. All of us got pregnant within the last 18 months so it does happen sometimes. I hope it happens for you too love.

He is doing very well thanks Farfalla although he does have very bad reflux, but I don't want to moan as I'm aware that I am lucky to have him.

Sorry if you've mentioned it previously on the thread but how long have you been trying? Have you seen anyone about it ie assisted conception?

Chameleon, it was really lovely. No demands that I gush on about what great news it was, no ccing me in on an email or even announcing it on fb. It was the perfect thing to do. And that's why he is my best friend and gave me away when I married dh.

YANBU. When you are having problems ttc or staying pregnant you tend to see pregnant women or new babies everywhere.

Yanbu I've been there 3 years and 4 mc. Not as long or as many mc as some of you but upsetting all the same. When I finally got pg with dd it was a hellish pg, in and out of hospital every other week. Then when dd was 5mo I fell pg again! And its been a very easy pg.

I just wanted you to know that there is life on the other side.

I've been where you are and I know how hard it is - especially congratulating all my newly-pregnant friends while secretly thinking 'it should have been me!'. Years of trying, horrible losses etc. Then it all seemed to come right and now I'm a mum of 3. When I was in the depths I really thought it would never happen to me. I just wanted you to know that it can work out and I really hope it does for you.
