Just opened an email from school

apparently my child is going on an art trip to Paris next week.

I know nothing about this

I have paid no money (I think - although I tend not to know about money)

Nobody has mentioned it to me (I think - I might not have been listening)

So. Do we think she is going? Do we think this is one of the many things that someone forgot to tell me? Do we think I am expected to stump up £4000 or whatever 3 days in Paris is going to cost (according to school)?

It is a mystery.

I'd be phoning the school to ask for further info.

What does DD say about it? I take it she's at senior school?

according to the email it is a GCSE art trip. She is indeed doing GCS art. And is at Art club right now. Will quiz her when she gets in.

I' very as had I known about it, it wouldn't have been a problem. I could have sold a kidney worked a bit extra to cover it. But next week???????

Is your child independantly wealthy and able to have paid for this without you knowing?

After my last financial cock-up (rather too many holiday flights booked) I've been more careful so am fairly sure I haven't paid such a vast sum.
