On www.rightmove.co.uk (or equivalent) which house is the most expensive nearest to where you live within 10 miles?

For us its this one:
www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34723280.html

Its not bad but the snooker room looks like a WMC snooker room.

Omygodomygodomygod I love that one in Devon, and the Mr Darcy one.

WHY AM I SO POOOOOOOOOOR

fivegomadindorset · 03/10/2011 08:01

this is mine and rather nice it is too.

ZeldaUpNorth · 03/10/2011 08:02

Not much around here - dearest one is only £439,950

Helennn · 03/10/2011 08:08

Bobloblaw - you must be somewhere near me (near D'mth). I hear Rod Stewart is interested in the 10mill one.

Almanzo · 03/10/2011 08:09

Am in Londonish so am going to get that £75 Meeellion jobby. Thought it might be more interesting to see what I can get in my postcode for what is said to be the average house price in the UK. Couldn't remember exactly so put 160-170K.
There are two for that price. Both one bed conversion flats in semis on main roads. Sad. Am househunting so am very interested in this at the moment. Bring on the price crash in London please!

BillBrysonsRucksack · 03/10/2011 08:13

This is mine.

Funnily enough, a friend of mine lived here when we were at school (about 1995) and I went to a couple of parties there!

disclaimer: god knows why someone with that much money went to my school!

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 03/10/2011 08:18

Wow BobLoblaw that house is gawg.

Ok fact fans, here is one less than 4 miles from my current location. It's probably not the most expensive but the rest just say POA which is no fun, this one is $2,700,000 which is approx 1.8 million pounds.

There are some interesting wallpaper choices and I am intrigued by the dungeon. Wink

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/10/2011 08:37

Mrsminty are you deliberatly choosing the most um, individual houses you can find or are your QLD neighbours all devoid of taste? Kath and Kims place perhaps?

BillBryson, that house is AMAZEBALLS.

LeoTheLateBloomer · 03/10/2011 08:45

Offers in excess of £10 million. No problem. Grin

HelloSweetie · 03/10/2011 08:53

only 4mil but rather nice

Eglu · 03/10/2011 08:55

A lot of these houses prove that money does not equal taste. MOnaLisa yours looks like a footballers house.

Here is mine. The only thing I like about inside is the fireplaces.

HelloSweetie · 03/10/2011 08:56

shit 5gomad - i have always wanted that house. i need that house. i am drawn to it. i must have it. oh bugger. i must. i must. i must.

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 03/10/2011 08:58

Well, I could claim that I am real estate agent to the tasteless wealthy of Brisbane suburbia Wink but I am really just aghast at some of the amaaaazing lapses around here!

Truly there are gems at every level of the market this one is only 280 grand.

HelloSweetie · 03/10/2011 09:00

shit. where the hell am i going to get 4 million from?

Purplebuns · 03/10/2011 09:09

Mine is paltry compared to some of these! It would do me though!

Blatherskite · 03/10/2011 09:37

My closest has "servants quarters"!!!

RhinoKey · 03/10/2011 09:44

A snip at 3 million

here

RhinoKey · 03/10/2011 09:45

Infact we had this thread about 3 months and I posted the same house so its obviously not to everyones tastes and possibly overpriced!

M0naLisa · 03/10/2011 09:47

WOW some fantastic houses on this thread!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/10/2011 09:56

20 million

I know this is a fairly affluent area but I was surprised to find that there were 315 properties in excess of 1 million on the market near me.

midnightexpress · 03/10/2011 09:56

This one, but there are some much nicer ones for less than that, IMO. Like this

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/10/2011 10:04

Man, that 20 mil one is nice

CurwySwide · 03/10/2011 10:17

This is mine. Gorgeous. Think it would suit me very nicely. Shame it is just out of my price range (by about £6.5m)
