Within 10 miles of my mum (as Aussie's are boringly keen on POA and auctions) is this one.

This one is near my parents. Quite the Baronial home.

And this one is the priciest where I used to live.

I LOVE it actually, if I sold the kids, a kidney, our house, killed all the rellies and dh for the insurance I still couldn't afford it. Arses.

Well, I'm afraid I have to extend the 10 mile radius thing as there are only a tiny handful of properties within that distance, never mind ones for sale! (We're very remote-rural, Canada - 3.5hrs from the nearest city and 1hr from the nearest town!) so I've gone for 1 hr's drive radius instead, which takes in Jasper (the ski resort townsite) and this is the priciest home for sale there at the moment: www.realtor.ca/propertyDetails.aspx?propertyId=10529093&PidKey=-75277662

Meant to say, I'm not impressed. House itself is OK but I'd not like to live somewhere with no land after having space around us for the last 6 years...
