I texted my partner 5 minutes ago. Still no reply. Angry. But he is at the pub, then going to watch Stoke V Man United so it might be a while until he tx back.

He eventually came downstairs and said, "why did you text me, ** Hmm?"

I said because I felt like it. He said, "Very sweet."

fatcaaah · 24/09/2011 20:41

I got 'samage x' Hmm

I have never had that reply before.

He is a middle aged man, really, not a 15 year old boy!

In his defence we do have a couple of them knocking about and have been known to converse in their teen-speak.

He's also just left work after a 14 hour day and did also phone from the train to see if I wanted Chinese so I'll let him off this time.

Shoulddohousework · 24/09/2011 20:42

Are you drunk/What have you done/Who is this

were the answers I got from DH - he is sat next to me! Wonder if I should be concerned about the last one? Hmm

BettyDrapersWardrobeElf · 24/09/2011 20:43

Talc, think our DHs would get on - I got

"I'm sorry, who is this?"

He thinks he is hilarious. I wrote back, "sorry wrong number" and got
" Wink " back!

ToothbrushThief · 24/09/2011 20:49

Grin Malificence and Talc

I got 'Love you too bug' in about thirty seconds and he is out at a party. Quite dull reading others replies!

EverythingsNotRosie · 24/09/2011 20:54

I meant my DH's reply was dull, not other people's replies! Too tired tonight!

Icelollycraving · 24/09/2011 20:59

I always get love you more back. I will not be texting him tonight as we have had a row & he has sulked all day in bed. Fool.

TalcAndTurnips · 24/09/2011 21:03

BettyDrapersWardrobeElf - I think you could be right Grin

The other night DH texted (I was upstairs MNing in the lounge) saying "I am now turning the light off and going to sleep. If you come down to bed in the foreseeable future, be aware that I will be quite happy if you wish to prod me awake for rumpy"

Who said romance was dead?

snigger · 24/09/2011 21:04

Just got

"You too precious, sorry I'm late, but you did give permission for one pint. And you know how my maths is. I've had my tea, did you get your new food processor?"

Bless his little fish-catching prehistoric cake-hopeful heart.

Mrsfluff · 24/09/2011 21:08

My husband rang me and said 'I love you too', then wanted to know what was behind the message - suspicious bugger Smile

emmam25 · 24/09/2011 21:09

love you too sexy.

He didn't text me tho, just said it as we're both sat in the living room!

shakey1500 · 24/09/2011 21:12

talc ahhhh that's so funny! Grin

Great thread. Funny enough I texted dh t'other day with a random "love you" text and got the same back.

Hardly a knee trembler but good enough for Shakey :)

ToothbrushThief · 24/09/2011 21:12

Love you too!!
21 minutes by my reckoning Grin

FrauLindor · 24/09/2011 21:13

Will do this later, he is sitting beside me on the couch.

FrauLindor · 24/09/2011 21:14

Iggly, sorry.

addictediam · 24/09/2011 21:16

I got
'i should hope so'
I sent him out to tesco to get me some icecream and sent 10mo dd with him hoping she will finally fall asleep! She was screaming when he left.

Dialsmavis · 24/09/2011 21:17

"have you had a drink?"

dribbleface · 24/09/2011 21:17

not gonna text him as cross with him......oh ok might do but then he'll think i'm sorry and i'm not. unreasonable hormonal 39 week pregnant woman me?

Skippyboo · 24/09/2011 21:18

I got, "Did you mean to text me that or was it meant for someone else?" Hmm

Then I got, "I love you like superglue."

marriednotdead · 24/09/2011 21:18

Got 'love u too xxx'

He's gone to snooker with his mate but left my dinner ready for when I got home from work. Not complaining today Smile

snigger · 24/09/2011 21:21

I've just realised how passive aggressive my marriage is. DH automatically thinks I Love You equals What The Feck Are You Up To, Sunshine? Grin

acsec · 24/09/2011 21:32

He answered "love you too pet" he's in the same room :)

FrauLindor · 24/09/2011 21:33

Some funny answers on here.

Have emailed him, but he probably won't notice until we go to bed.
