I texted my partner 5 minutes ago. Still no reply. Angry. But he is at the pub, then going to watch Stoke V Man United so it might be a while until he tx back.

An elderly couple were sat on a terrace with a glass of wine each. The woman said " I love you so much. I don't know what I would do without you."

"Ha!" said her husband "Is that you or the wine talking ?"

"It's me" she replied " Talking to the wine".

FarFarAway · 24/09/2011 21:35

Got 'Is that you??'

But laughed until I cried at some of the responses on here.

Tigerbomb · 24/09/2011 21:36

I got - "Did you mean to send this to me" Shock

ForkInTheForeheid · 24/09/2011 21:37

You're beautiful xxx

tinkgirl · 24/09/2011 21:49

I got - thank you for my text.

bugger. Hmm

CurrySpice · 24/09/2011 21:50

I can't text DP as he's 4000 miles away and fast asleep in a different time zone but I already had two texts today telling me he loves me (like I do every day) and if I texted him to say it now, he would text back something like "I love you too sexy, lotsxxx"

Don't yoy all tell each other every day?!?! Shock

Tortoise · 24/09/2011 21:50

No point texting DP. He's ran out of credit. He would probably say 'me to'.

bringmesunshine2009 · 24/09/2011 21:53

"Me 2" brief in the extreme. And suggests narcissist. But English not his first language so maybe (!) he meant "U2". Responded in less than 20 seconds...

...Response from me: "What?! You love yourself?!" still nothing...

bringmesunshine2009 · 24/09/2011 21:54

Hahah Tortoise, maybe I was unfair then!

Tortoise · 24/09/2011 22:02

Bringmesunshine That's what I wanted to reply with last time but I'm not sure he would get it!

bellastella · 24/09/2011 22:19

I got 'I love you my sexy ladie xxx' Spelling is not his strong point!

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 24/09/2011 22:19

Curry- we certainly do, more than once a day. Always make sure we say it last thing before bed even when in foul moods ha

QuickLookBusy · 24/09/2011 22:20

I got "Ditto x" Hmm

bringmesunshine2009 · 24/09/2011 22:25

He came home shortly after. Hmmm. Maybe I shouldn't be such a moody old trout more often.

GeneralCustardsHardHat · 24/09/2011 22:29

I'd get told off for being awake having spent the evening asleep on the sofa feeling poorly :o
Usual response is "mwah love you too beautiful"

didgewest · 24/09/2011 22:50

ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 25/09/2011 11:05

I don't know his number so can't do that. If I did, he would probably phone me back to tell me he loved me too.
Although DH is an IT teacher, he refuses to use texts.
I am glad you said what the symbol thing was. I had no idea.
