I texted my partner 5 minutes ago. Still no reply. Angry. But he is at the pub, then going to watch Stoke V Man United so it might be a while until he tx back.

No response. But now I think about it, I haven't heard any sound since he went to put 2yr old DD back to bed, 20 mins ago....yes, he's asleep.

voscar · 29/09/2011 21:35

I cant - Mine already text me about an hour ago to say "I really love you, forever". That might be something to do with being in the pub! Although we do tell one another every day.

So to take the spirit of the thread a bit further I've just hidden a note in his golf bag (he is playing tomorrow) saying "I love you farty pants". Ive never done anything like that before! He may kill me if he finds it in front of all the other players! :D

Kayzr · 29/09/2011 21:38

I just got "I love you too gorgeous fiance, can't wait to marry you"

GrinGrinGrin

MoChan · 29/09/2011 21:42

I did this earlier, not actually apropos of this thread. I got "just got off plane. It is 22 degrees and it's 2am!"

MoChan · 29/09/2011 21:42

To be fair, he sent a text a few minutes later saying I love you and all that.

Quidsi · 29/09/2011 21:49

Just sent it to DH who is all the way in the next room.
Can hear him typing away -his response must be a bloody essay!

Quidsi · 29/09/2011 21:50

Aw he replied "I love you my sexy bride with your fabulous new hair. PS curry delicious thanks"
we've been married 3 years and I've been to the hairdressers today.

MrsJasonBourne · 29/09/2011 21:51

My dh would probably just mention later in passing 'what was that all about?'

He doesnt really do mobiles.

Or romance.

ZhenXiang · 29/09/2011 21:56

No text, a phone call saying he was coming home now to have cuddles with his wife.

beararse · 29/09/2011 22:20

Ha ha just texted DH and got this back: "There was a thread on mumsnet about that. I'm not falling for your trickery" Grin

TinyPawz · 29/09/2011 22:26

See, the crazy bitch in me wants to try this experiment with Xh, just to see what he replies, but I deleted his number when drunk. Raging.com

verytellytubby · 29/09/2011 22:28

Have you crashed the car?

Dawndonna · 29/09/2011 22:30

Mine refuses to have a mobile. Doesn't know how to use one, doesn't 'do' the 'phone, either.
He does tell me daily, that he loves me.

nodrog · 29/09/2011 22:45

I got - I love you two with a kiss emoticon - and then a five minute convo on how fast his phone is.
BTW - spelling is not his forte.

ChocolateWindmill · 29/09/2011 22:57

"I love you too little one" (I'm short)

Than he came in and laughed at me for texting him from the next room.

Stoirin · 29/09/2011 23:26

"do you want some chips?"

Thistledew · 29/09/2011 23:47

I would probably get a message in morse code or something. Last time I texted him to say "love you" he texted me back in picture symbols 'gun' 'octopus' 'rabbit' 'gun' 'elephant' 'octopus' 'umbrella' 'snake'.

We have a silly competition at the moment to send each other soppy messages in some sort of code. Blush Smile

This is a lovely thread. But the reply that has given me the warmest fuzziest glow of love is Stoirin's. That's love that is Grin

GibberingGinger · 30/09/2011 10:40

I got "why?"

How romantic. I texted back "it's a MN experiment, and cause I do"

response was "FFS, do some work. Love you too"

onehellofaride · 30/09/2011 10:47

I got 'Love u 2x'

quite boring!

Llanarth · 30/09/2011 10:54

I got "Yoo too xxx"

laptopdancer · 30/09/2011 10:56

Oh god, Im not going to. He might think its an invitation to have a bit of "hows yer father" and Ive got to mop the floors!

aldiwhore · 30/09/2011 10:59

"That's twice already, what have you done?"

We tend to text each other gushy crap most days to be honest. If we've nothing much to say, we just say 'love u'. Sorry, I'm not usually so vomit inducing!!

MilliONaire · 30/09/2011 11:11

I got 'love you too baby, see you at 2.30? x'

But we text each other soppy stuff all the time anyway - yesterday just out iof the blue he texted me to say 'I am still so in love with you' - he's soppier than me [big grin]
