I texted my partner 5 minutes ago. Still no reply. . But he is at the pub, then going to watch Stoke V Man United so it might be a while until he tx back.

Text him ages ago but he's only just checked his 'phone. He's said "U must b hungry! Love u 2.".

He's in the kitchen making our dinner. Will take him to task - and not in a good way - about the textspeak.

I only spoke to him at lunchtime. He'd think I was off my head if I texted him now.

Does anyone seriously expect their partners to reply within 5 minutes?

Rather boring and predictable, but he soon followed it up with, "Have you been driving my car?". Obviously puzzled by a random declaration of love and now assuming I'm buttering him up for something.
