To think it's weird that Victoria Beckham has taken her baby (insanely expensive) clothes shopping 3 days in a row in sky high heels followed by paparazzi

Ok I admit I saw these pics in the daily hate mail but come on, why would you wear these mountanous heels tottering around with your tiny baby in Prada/whatever 3 days in a row... dons hard hat........

When my DD was 9 weeks old I spent half my time dragging her round the shops as I was bored out of my mind and wanted to finally buy some clothes that werent maternity clothes and so didn't come in a shade of grey or brown and make me look middle aged.

Perhaps VB is just normal and is ready to get out and about again.

And she always wears heels. I've got loads of friends who wear heels so much they struggle to walk in flats.

Tryharder · 16/09/2011 21:34

Agree with ppop. I heard she was going to bf but saw that dress and thought Nah....

Whatmeworry · 16/09/2011 21:34

This isn't about the baby......

Pinot · 16/09/2011 21:34

Theres a similiar thread to this in Sleb Twaddle where loads of brilliant VB bashing has occurred.

Wearing sunglasses inside whilst cooing at her baby in front of the cameras? FFS. The baby would like eye contact but that's nowhere near as important as making sure you don't get a 'blink' photo. And the lipgloss? So you can't snuggle your baby without leaving greasy marks. Sad.

EricNorthmansMistress · 16/09/2011 21:35

YANBU about the shoes. I saw them - bloody dangerous if you ask me. I know VB is a professional stupid-shoes-wearer but really.

YABU about the rest, she'll have a nanny somewhere nearby with the pram and other shit and she's probably only out for an hour or so at a time as they tip off the paps. She probably sighs in relief after her daily clothes-horsing jaunt as she races through the door, kicks off her 8inch heels and whips her engorged boobs out for a feed.

southeastastra · 16/09/2011 21:36

she only stood there with the baby, she didn't walk any distance Grin

her kids all look similar don't they.

troisgarcons · 16/09/2011 21:38

her kids all look similar don't they.

always a bonus I find .......

PPPop · 16/09/2011 21:39

I didn't mean that to question whether she is bf or not (it reads like I was) I really don't care whether she is or not, it's up to her I meant that her choice of clothes is more about her and feeling she needs to look good for the cameras all the time. When I was bf a newborn I had to dress for the possibility of having to feed NOW wherever I was, so I was mainly wearing cardigans and stretchy tops. I used to look longingly at the dresses in the shops. I actually feel a bit sorry for her that she can't feel she can pop down the shops in a pair of trackie bottoms and a cardie covered in sick!

YouWinOrYouDie · 16/09/2011 21:39

Eh? My children look similar too

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 16/09/2011 21:41

Meh.

slavetofilofax · 16/09/2011 21:41

But it's Victoria Beckham. It's what she does.

Pinot · 16/09/2011 21:44

why are you sitting on your hands, sea? If you have juicy gossip, spill away...

YouWinOrYouDie · 16/09/2011 21:45

I dressed up for a wedding once when DS was ten weeks old and fully BF. It was a pain in the arse but had to be done because it was, er, my wedding.

Could probably have managed getting dressed and made-up for an hour or two a day if my work depended on it.

EricNorthmansMistress · 16/09/2011 21:45

What? Are they like clones or something? ShockGrin

troisgarcons · 16/09/2011 21:46

She's not going to get her tits out in public and BF and let a scummy pap get a bilion quid for a flash of nipple. She's a little more classy than that ~ shes got decorum and can manage to conduct her self appropriately

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/09/2011 21:46

I believe she was criticised for holing up with her new baby and now she is criticised for being out and about with her.

Pretty sure I've read before she's bf her other babies - but really who cares.

The media is determined to make out that she finally has her daughter and bollocks to her sons which I imagine must be pretty hurtful to her.

However if she has any sense she probably doesn't read the crap press nowadays.

Pinot · 16/09/2011 21:49

She doesn't read the press? She probably wallpapers her house in the stuff!

I should leave this thread really - my passion for unrelenting VB bashing is intolerable even to me :o

LikeACandleButNotQuite · 16/09/2011 21:50

She works in fashion, and wants to stay in the loop while "on mat leave", hence the visits. She is followed by paps as she generates column inches, which in turn generate cash. Her baby is 7 weeks (?) old and she is breastfeeding - it would be weird if the baby wasnt with her.

Flamed for one, flamed for the other.

Good on her. Though the black heels were freaking ridiculous and a stupid stupid clothing choice for carrying a baby.

Valpollicella · 16/09/2011 21:50

Quite easy to BF in public without an eyful of nork if the paps are watching Trios

And what's with the gossip with them looking similar? PM me that's an order

southeastastra · 16/09/2011 21:52

i would get respect for her if she suddenly went off an got a fine arts degree, if she's so interested in design

BoysRusxxx · 16/09/2011 21:55

Apparently her children are lovely, well-mannered boys. id say vb and db are very good parents. i used to go out shopping (well, window shopping...) alot in the early days. dont know how she walks in thise heals but each to their own.

She's never going to risk it is she? Why would she? One thing she isnt is an exhibitionist.

I'm, not a fan of hers - but I cant actually find anything to knock her for.

4madboys · 16/09/2011 21:59

i think she is just doing what any other mother does and is GETTING on with her life with her new baby! it just so happen that HER life involves expensive shopping and fashion shows etc, whereas for most of us its school runs and toddler groups.

and as for wearing heels and carrying a baby, i have done that, its fine if you are used to wearing heels.

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/09/2011 21:59

I don't get the relentless VB bashing - I mean she appears to work hard and has a nice family and a slightly stripper'esque taste in shoes. But hey ho - there are people who irritate me far more - step right up Katie Price Smile

"I actually feel a bit sorry for her that she can't feel she can pop down the shops in a pair of trackie bottoms and a cardie covered in sick!"

Bit of misplaced sympathy there. No need to feel sorry, not all women want to go out (or even stay in) dressed like that.
