Obviously I know it will never happen, but whereas other people dream about winning the lottery, having a new car or buying the house of their dreams... I dream about being the front woman of a band headlining at glastonbury Grin

I do play in a duo with DP, but so far we've not been brave enough (or able to agree on a set list) to perform properly in public (only in front of friends/family)

I just want to be Robert Plant (but not if he's the one boffing liz jones)

My DP and kids think that I'm a saddo. And they are probably right Wink

Flame me and make me bloody grow up.

I am in my forties and I am still very certain that I am poised for stardom.

I will be talent spotted. I have heard Geri Halliwell sing and I think - I could do that! Smile

giyadas · 30/08/2011 16:26

Will you need a guitarist for your band?

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:27

Suncottage, maybe we could form a band..a MN supergroup?!!

I'll share lead vocals but I must do lead guitar (as long as you don't expect fancy solo's)

And we have to wear leather trousers and demand pom bears on our rider.

Giyadas - can you do fancy solo's? You can step in for me in those bits.

AurraSing · 30/08/2011 16:29

I've never given up hope. The fact that I can't sing, play any instrument or have a glimmer of song writing ability doesn't dampen my dream.

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:30

Aurra, you can be our Bez.

semi-fancy (think muse)
can do bass too, if you've baggsied guitar.

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:31

Oh yes, you can do bass. But none of that level 42 shit.

AurraSing · 30/08/2011 16:33

Grin I'll practice my moves.

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:34

I'll spring for the maraca's Grin

giyadas · 30/08/2011 16:34

no, more like Sgt Floyd Pepper from the muppets.
without as much facial hair

CogitoErgoSometimes · 30/08/2011 16:35

37? Spring bloody chicken!!! The advantage of Jagger, Richards and Cliff still doing the circuit is that if you think you're over the hill for a rock-star, they're on a whole other hill.

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:37

We need MNHQ to sponsor us and buy the equipment and leather trousies. They could make a film about us, it would rival spinal tap I'm sure.

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:38

Cogito, you make a very valid point!!

giyadas · 30/08/2011 16:39

ThePathanKhansWoman · 30/08/2011 16:40

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:40

OP posts:
alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:41

Pathan, there is always room for jazz hands. You and 'bez' can do general prancing.

SuePurblybilt · 30/08/2011 16:41

You could go on X Factor and be famous, like Asda Mary. She was 40+, so was SuBo. Or Wagner Grin

Not very rock'n'roll though, granted. You'll have to be discovered in a grotty pub somewhere.

iklboo · 30/08/2011 16:41

I can play triangle & that keyboard shaped thing you blow to play. And the glockenspiel. Not much call for a 'rockenspiel' though I s'pose Blush

redheadbedhead · 30/08/2011 16:42

can I play keys?? I am DESPERATE to be in a band full time...

giyadas · 30/08/2011 16:42

mumbling, you could make your debut in the music video. T'would then just be a matter of time, surely.

alistron1 · 30/08/2011 16:42

Sue, ffs - we're talking about forming a rock supergroup...not being fucking Jedward Wink
