Why does Pagwatch get the sorting hat?

Envy

Not fair.

devonshiredumpling · 18/08/2011 22:28

shakey swear now get your first rant off now and you will find it much easier as time goes on

reelingintheyears · 18/08/2011 22:29

But is it a green beret?

SuePurblybilt · 18/08/2011 22:31

It's like First Form at St Claires but with more whining.

Whatmeworry · 18/08/2011 22:32

Actually that thread was about loads of stuff to do with language, consideration, personal vendettas and band wagons. To say it was about 'idiot' and 'loon' is simplistic at best

Sure, I can't summarise 200+ posts in one line, I was just pointing DrP to the one I meant.

I see what you mean about arguing over everything :)

Honeydragon · 18/08/2011 22:33

Am I the only newbie who fell into Mumsnet with consummate ease then? I don't think if particularly managed to fuck anyone off yet.Sad

Why not insist that newbies have a red L after their name for their first six weeks of posting, so they can be kindly shown their faux paux so they are settled in and ready to cope before its removal?

devonshiredumpling · 18/08/2011 22:34

me stamping foot and going off in a huff

DrPolidori · 18/08/2011 22:34

Devonshire, its called flouncing here. And very disapproved of.

SuePurblybilt
Get it right....there is NO first form at St Clare's.

The twins at St Clare's
The O'Sullivan Twins
Summer term at St Clare's
Second form at St clare's
Claudine at St Clare's and
Fifth Formers of St Clare's.

FGS

DrPolidori · 18/08/2011 22:35

Its a raspberry beret, in honour of the Tiny One.

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 18/08/2011 22:36

Did you find it in a second hand store dr P?

SuePurblybilt · 18/08/2011 22:37

There must have been a first form, reeling. As in the first form they were there

I bow to your superior memory.

reelingintheyears · 18/08/2011 22:37

I very much like to blow raspberries.

reelingintheyears · 18/08/2011 22:39

St Clare's are much superior to Malory Towers.

I have 'em all.

But i will allow that the Twins were once in the first form.

DrPolidori · 18/08/2011 22:40

oh, the Twins at St Claires were first form. My. were they the uppity newbies, with their sense of superiority, evening gowns and suchlike!

Where is hully. the last thing I saw her on was when she was tipsy after a PTA bash, but that was aaaaaaages ago, anyone seen her? Down the back of the sofa? In the kitchen drawer?

Anyone tried yelling? If we all shout together, ONE, TWO, THREE.........

SuePurblybilt · 18/08/2011 22:42

Uppity. They needed Squashing. Then they developed a pash on someone and played the game.
I am lumping them all together in my mind now.

DrPolidori · 18/08/2011 22:42

Nothing second hand for my mentors, oh no. (hides receipt from Oxfam)

Honesty, the truth is, my berets were from a poorly dyed batch for the red berets, the big girls blouses refused to wear 'em

OP posts:
NorksAreMessy · 18/08/2011 22:43

honey and sue you didn't join in. No wonder she didn't reply, now, let's try again.....ONE, TWO, THREE....

HULLY! WHERE ARE YOU?

DrPolidori · 18/08/2011 22:43

Didn't they object to going on forced marches healthy walk in their high heels?

OP posts:
reelingintheyears · 18/08/2011 22:45

Yeah..where is Hully?

Honeydragon · 18/08/2011 22:45

Hullys having Holibobs as far as I am inadequately, admittedly aware. I don't think she'd hear you what with this being written down. Perhaps if every Mnetter yells out their window on a count of three one of us might be next door and she'll hear and get online?

SuePurblybilt · 18/08/2011 22:47

Sorry. Hulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

You could borrow the wolef sky symbol?

reelingintheyears · 18/08/2011 22:47

I think Hully is not so far away.

shakey1500 · 18/08/2011 22:49

I do actually swear like a trooper (trouper?) in RL. Weirdly, birth mother will not flinch at the word "fuck" but will do a cats bum face at "crap".

I'm a fan of swearing. Particular favourite is twat (I know it's swearing per se but...) it can be said with such venom :)

Small swearing related anecdote- Played "Rita" in Educating Rita tears ago, am dram. The commitee, yawn, decided in their wisdom that the line "fucking pheasants" be replaced with "frigging pheasants" so as not to upset the old folk who ventured out of an evening to see us. I despaired.
