Should I mention the traffic cones and rusty shopping trolley?

Ivortheengine8 · 12/08/2011 22:45

Thanks OLKN. I had a bad cough too week or so ago and that was just terrible - thought my waters had gone :(
Funnily enough it got a bit better after I had DC1 but then it'd got worse again this pregnancy.
I do drink too much tea though that doesnt help!

....ok I am sure this is TMI for you before bedtime....sorry

"Then again, used to wonder who super plus tampons were for... "

Ah now, there's something which is definitely in my shopping trolley. In my perimenopausal state, I have been known to have a, er, flooding problems mid-period. Tranexamic acid helps btw but I still need two superplus overnight.

But never worn a panty liner in my life. I think I'm an all or nothing sort of woman.

I'm reading this thread thinking thank god I'm not the only one who has bleached knickers.

As for "Then again, used to wonder who super plus tampons were for... ", I've needed them since I first got my period at the age of 11. I don't have a baggy fanny either, I'm just unlucky enough to have very heavy periods. I've got a mooncup now which is the best thing since sliced bread as far as I'm concerned.

ZonkedOut · 13/08/2011 07:30

Thanks for this thread, I use panty liners every day due to discharge. I used to think that most women were completely dry except during their period, now I realise I am not that abnormal.

I wear them for leakage reasons too now, since DD2 was born back to back, giving me a 3rd degree tear in the process. It's gradually improving, for those in a similar position, keep doing those pelvic floor exercises!

TheMonster · 13/08/2011 09:17

There was a thread a while ago about people bleaching their knickers. Gross.
I shall see if I can find it.

FellatioNelson · 13/08/2011 09:21

Don't know how old you are MardyBra, or how many children you've had, but I used to think the same. Now, at 45 and three children, I understand why!

hoolabombshell · 13/08/2011 11:39

I never understood panty liners until I was in my twenties and then things "changed" down there. Now I need to wear one every day and am now in my late thirties. I have been checked for BV and thrush several times and have never had either - my doctor has assured me it is just "one of those things". Hmm

And don't even get me started on when I was pregnant...

I would give anything to smell and feel like summer meadows.

Wow, overwhelming feeling of validation and Wellbeing reading this thread... Not just me then feeling moist at certain times of month. Not just me terrified of star jumps and sneezing/coughing without getting into position first. Not just me who will not run with a full bladder. Thank you always dailies for being fab. Ps, in various European offices of my big employer, such things (catering for various flows and preferences) are nicely displayed in pretty baskets and free to take in the ladies!
