to not understand why some women use panty liners on a daily basis?

Understandable possibly at the end of a period but otherwise why?

There was this exact same thread a month or so ago and I'll say again what I said then, some ladies are.. moister than others.

TrillianAstra · 12/08/2011 13:45

What's with all the knicker threads?

AlpiniAddict · 12/08/2011 13:46

I've always had to use pantyliners as i am quite moist (Blush) but since having DC4 I have to use Tena lady(the lightest ones) just in case.

mrsgordonfreeman · 12/08/2011 14:14

Oh, don't take this the wrong way, but Tenas should be a last resort. Please go get your leakage problems looked at!

AlpiniAddict · 12/08/2011 14:26

I only wear them just in case, the pantyliner ones not the nappy style ones. I'm ok unless I sneeze violently, cough a lot or laugh too hard. I'm not constantly pissing myself Grin

LineRunner · 12/08/2011 14:31

I agree with you OP that it's a bit sinister to see all the products marketed at women as though we naturally stink and need to spend money on making ourselves bearable for the rest of society.

So it's a reasonable question.

Lots of reasonable answers, too.

harassedandherbug · 12/08/2011 14:33

I'm preg and a bit "moist" at the moment too...... Love that pantyliners mean I can instantly feel fresher. Plus I'd be going through loads of pants Wink.

skinnymuffin · 12/08/2011 14:35

On a related note, do you think pelvic floor exercises can reverse the effects of childbirth so that you don't have the cough/ sneeze effect? Or once you've got to that stage is it too late to bother?

CamperFan · 12/08/2011 14:41

This thread is even more bizarre than your "what knickers are you wearing today?" thread. IABU to think you might be a pervy man???

MardyBra · 12/08/2011 14:58

Are you stalking me CamperFan? Then you'll probably realise I'm in bored trivia (the kids are driving me nuts) mode this week.

Linerunner puts my point much more eloquently than me.

carpetlover · 12/08/2011 15:06

You see, I'm also quite moist (8mths pg at mo) but have always just accepted that discharge is part of womanhood. Sure, knickers are a bit icky when I take them off but they go straight in the wash. I couldn't be bothered with the faff tbh! But then my cycle is v regular and I have a couple of hours warning due to cramps and I always, always have a spare tampon in every bag.

danebury · 12/08/2011 15:10

I am in the process of having my erm leakage investigated .....

This thread has reminded me to do a quick pelvic floor sequence.

Thanks!

CamperFan · 12/08/2011 15:12

Not stalking, just ill and bored, and have read practically every thread on here in the last 4 days. I might have to start on the archives soon.

skinnymuffin, no I definitely don't think it is too late, start doing them.

AlpiniAddict · 12/08/2011 15:15

I'm wondering if it's worth trying those cone weight thingimajigs you can get from the chemist Hmm

MardyBra · 12/08/2011 15:21

Camperfan. Hope you soon feel better.

I managed to extend my thread range to earworms and film remakes amongst other things. Why not start some new non perve threads of your own if you're fed up my lowly efforts.

Thanks camper

And squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze... :o

LolaRennt · 12/08/2011 15:27

YABU YOu shouldn't judge till you've walked a mile in someone elses knickers

MardyBra · 12/08/2011 15:33

Lola I admitted v early on that I am BU. can I therefore opt out of walking the mile in someone else's pants.

OP posts:
TheMonster · 12/08/2011 15:37

I use them everyday. It makes me feel fresh and means I never have to bleach my knickers (as a few MNers admitted to a while back)!

LolaRennt · 12/08/2011 15:39

People who use them every day, do you use the cloth reusable ones?

LolaRennt · 12/08/2011 15:51

CamperFan · 12/08/2011 19:54

Thanks. I'll try Mardy, but my thread attempts are v boring.

Are there really cloth reusable panty liners?

Teaandcakeplease · 12/08/2011 20:49

Oh yes, this website is good: www.luxurymoon.co.uk/

YouDoTheMath · 12/08/2011 21:06

Guilty!

I've worn them every day for years. I've become accustomed to them and just feel... icky without them.

On the odd occasion that I run out, I'm really conscious of it and uncomfortable.

180 · 12/08/2011 21:20

Can I just say MardyBra, thank you so much for asking this? Have been wondering for years. Obviously after a couple of kids can now see why they might be useful, but the people I know who like using them are not mums and I've always thought it was due to marketing and that made me sad too.

Then again, used to wonder who super plus tampons were for... Grin
