to ask how many pairs of knickers you go through in a day?

DP has just text me saying he is putting the washing away and most of it is my knickers.

I wear 2-3 pairs per day and I don't think this is unusual or excessive...

2-3 for the average day, and an extra pair if i'm going out (meal, pub, etc)... didn't realise i was odd

Never more than 2, usually just one!

All you three a dayers: how many pairs of knickers do you own? And how often do you do a clothes wash?

Now to log on to Mumsnet - let's hope for feck's sake it's not all F&B paints and mothers-in-law this afternoon

I'm a 2-a-dayer and I probably own about 20 pairs of knickers. I do clothes washes most days.

And do you wash that pair every day?

Same as KatieScarlett - knickers work far better than proper headbands at keeping my hair off my face. Although if I've been doing really sweaty exercise, I'll wear a clean pair after my shower, but if I'm exercising in the morning, I'll wear the revious day's knickers, and last thing at night I just change into pyjamas.

My knickers are much bigger than my head.

Headbands get dirty so I'd need several to wash on rotation and are costly

Of course they are washed afterwards, usually have foundation on them, if I wore them it would look like I had a dose of the Earthas.

Pants are the perfect size and instantly available.

I've just done a quick mental tally and realised that at least once a week I go through four pairs in a day. That's a day when I go to the gym in the morning and karate in the evening so:

1 pair in the morning to the gym.
Next pair after showering at the gym.
Change into next pair for karate.
Then last pair after my bath after karate, until I go to bed.

But mostly only 2 pairs a day, unless it's hot, then three. maybe four

But then I figure, I do the washing, so who cares?

(I also own approx. 30 pairs of knicks)

I normally wear 2 pairs a day - one for day, one for night under my PJs. I am most definitely a PJ girl, and socks in bed most months too.

1 to 2 depending on my day.

"First thing in the morning: get up, shower, clean knickers.
Last thing at night, knickers off, shower, into bed au naturelle.
Didn't think there was any other way!"

That sounds normal to me. 2 -3 pairs every day sounds a little OCD. If I am going out in the evening and having a shower beforehand I would put a clean pair on, but I never wear them in bed.

Amusing thread. I'm rather curious OP about what you actually expected other posters to say, are you surprised that most people only use 1 per day?

Just one pair for me, unless I am getting changed to go out and need my sucky in knickers. Or if I have been doing something that gets me sweaty like cleaning I will shower then wear new ones

I wear knickers in bed too, feel cold otherwise. Sometimes one pair a day and sometimes two especially if I'm going out and/or had a bath.

Haven't read the whole thread but could someone explain

1. Why someone would wear knickers in bed?

2. Why someone would wear more than 1 pair of knickers in a day aside from having some sort of accident, or going out somewhere nice in the evening and changing?

2 pairs sometimes 3 depending on what exercise I've done during the day.

And i sometimes wear knickers to bed sometimes PJs depending on how warm it is... and I must be a complete minger cos I don't change my PJs every night but then my fanjo is clean when I go to bed :o

I only wear four pairs at once when playing Pass the Parcel with DH in bed. Prolongs the anticipation.

Ok get up in morning shower fresh knickers on, go to work my job very physical work in health care get very hot and sweaty and covered in alsorts, come home freshen up fresh clothes including one pair of knickers as others are now minging, fast forward to bedtime, quick shower and another pair of fresh knickers for bed!!!

I wouldn't have dreamt that anyone needed more than 1 pair per day!
