DD 19 going into 3rd year at uni in september, living away from home and working full time over the summer to pay for her digs, i keep in touch by text, phone and facebook, just loged onto my FB and her FB status said, 6 weeks pregnant :) it was posted about an hour ago and there were 15 likes, i phoned her right away and apparently her boyfreinds freind facebook raped her when she was having a shower and she didnt know, she burst out laughing but im failing to see the funny side, anyone got a valium.

OP posts:
Illegitimate · 05/08/2011 18:30

frape? WTF kind of word is that

Snackalot · 05/08/2011 18:30

As I'd like to tell my mum, but am not brave enough Wink what goes on facebook, stays on facebook

If she was pregnant, don't you think she'd tell you first?!

Shinyshoes1 · 05/08/2011 18:30

is her birthday in May? could it be that

TheMitfordsMaid · 05/08/2011 18:31

Ugh. Time to delete my facebook I think.

PrettyCandles · 05/08/2011 18:32

Why is everyone jumping on the OP for her terminology? Yes it's bad taste and very unpleasant, but she has educated me to something I had never heard of. Surely the point is the casual and trivialising attitude to rape that this 'joke' shows?

picnicbasketcase · 05/08/2011 18:32

So, 'frape' means someone writing embarassing stuff on your facebook page without you knowing? That's a really horrible word.

LolaRennt · 05/08/2011 18:32

YANBU, sorry haven't got a valium for you!

I thought we were meant to be putting our shoesize followed by "inches" and then a :( "in honour" of breast cancer awareness Hmm

chocolateorange · 05/08/2011 18:33

Cannot get over the disgustingness of 'frape' to consider anything else you've said. Wtf

scotchmist · 05/08/2011 18:34

well id like to think so snackalot that she would tell me first, but since im considered old and over the hill im not up to speed on FB and only really use it to contact DD

OP posts:
LolaRennt · 05/08/2011 18:34

snackalot mumsnet is full of people who found out their sister/daughter/BFF were pregnant via facebook! Some people have no concept of the real world anymore. Everything has to be shared with EVERYONE

chicletteeth · 05/08/2011 18:35

I have not read the OP, I can't get past your title

YABVVVU simply for using the word frape.

SpringHeeledJack · 05/08/2011 18:36

scotchmist · 05/08/2011 18:38
