Now the laptop can be anything as long is has wifi so I can skype and is good condition.

And the 32" flatscreen tv must be suitable for the playroom.

Seriously though, why do they let these people on Freecycle?

I have never used freecycle my local one won't let me log in

I would like to advertise for a downstairs to my first floor flat, do people give away houses?

I actually have a few things, given to me or not useful now that I would be willing to pass on if I could get on the site.

I like the idea of a MN freecycle. Or some kind of swap shop.

I think she has confused FreeCycle with the Argos catalogue

You need to email these particuar people and ask - do you actually get what you ask for?

Then if they say yes - email back and say well can you get this list for me

Although TBH I was putting some rubbish in my block of flat's communal bins and someone had just dumped a load of kids toys which all looked fairly new and not broken. Mattresses and bedsides tables often get dumped too.

My favourite went along the lines of 'OFFER: 6 months old girl' I was Turned out they were offering clothes for a 6-month old girl.

One of the funniest (and most unusual) wants that I've seen on our local freecycle was for a Pole Dancing Pole

Lets face it, not many people will have one of those lying around will they, especially in our town where there is a higher than average retired population!

Our local netmums 'wanted' section is a bit like that. They all want Bugaboos for nowt AND delivered!

I had to go to the third page before I found this little gem:

Ah I've hit the jackpot. Found a post from someone wanting SIX items but apparently they are in very need.

Item number 1 is a dongle.
Item number 2 is a laptop. Condition doesn't matter as long a poster can get online again

erm...if you haven't got one of those items then you don't really need the other, do you?
