Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, Elmo, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

If it is then i think I've found an American site that stocks them if that's any use ?

www.aransweatermarket.com/childrens-knitwear

:)

elmofan · 17/09/2011 21:59

Sorry i made a mistake it's an Irish website Blush

It had the prices in Dollars when i clicked on a Jumper so i thought it was an American site .
I was rushing and didn't check it out properly .

CheerfulYank · 18/09/2011 21:02

Thanks Elmo ! That's ok. :) I'm looking at it right now... love the sweaters, they're just gorgeous. Will have to calculate the shipping.

We're going to have to keep the heat low this year (for financial reasons...sigh...) so we're going to have to be wooled out! :o

CheerfulYank · 18/09/2011 21:10

Ooh I just found one on ebay for DS! YAY!

Evening all Smile

Hows everyone ?

CheerfulYank · 19/09/2011 19:55

Good! Just going to go out to play with DS and the dogs.

And then it will be "quiet time" meaning DS will go up to his room and play or rest quietly while I furtively watch True Blood on my laptop. Blush

What is everyone else up to?

CheerfulYank · 20/09/2011 03:04

I was looking back at some old threads and realized that this time last year we were all brainstorming names for little Jamie. :)

Time flies , doesn't it?!

Teaandcakeplease · 20/09/2011 11:37

Certainly does doesn't it Cheerful Smile

Crazy that that is a year ago already! Sometimes I get so :( about how fast it all flies by!

All about preparing for winter here, with a bit of baking thrown in for good measure. We've had frost at nights for a little while now, sort of my cue to get in gear and get ready for the months to come. Won't be long 'til the lovely sweater days turn into parka days at this rate!

Tiredmumno1 · 20/09/2011 21:07

Hi go and elmo :) > xx

CheerfulYank · 21/09/2011 19:43

Mmmmm...cinnamon rolls! That would really hit the spot; it's so dreary and cold here today. I'm getting ready for winter too. I sort of like it- feels like we're getting ready to hibernate or something. :)

Oh Jamie is SO CUTE! He's getting to be such a big boy!

Teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2011 20:01

Very cute pictures Tiredmum Smile

I could do with a recipe for cinamon rolls GoMummy. Yum!

How are you these days?

Ack Elmo, you are well ahead of me now. DH keeps asking when I'll get DS' new winter coat and I've not found one yet, think I'll have to go online for that one. I just prefer him to be able to try it on, iykwim. Getting late though, all the other winter stuff is out and ready. I will be here to empathize if you get the early snow!

I know what you're saying about getting ready to hibernate Cheerful. :) Made a fire last night and it was all cozy, but I also know I'll be very sick of making them in a couple of months, LOL!

Tea, I am Blush, my cinnamon rolls are just toooo easy, it's not really a recipe, you will laugh at me! Got the idea from the recipe Flylady had about ten years ago. It's ridiculously fast too if you make your dough in batches and freeze ahead of time.

Grease bundt pan or any non-stick pan you have going, with butter. Put in random chunks of frozen dough (I freeze mine in little balls to make dinner rolls, so I use about 16-18, but whatever would work for the pan you have). Sprinkle on 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 250ml brown sugar, a small package of instant vanilla pudding mix (this is about 80mls if they are not the same size there), and then pour on about 100ml melted butter (I am sometimes more generous with this, lol!). Cover with a damp cloth and leave them somewhere warm to rise until they're about 2.5 times their original size. (Morning to evening or overnight). Bake @ 375 degrees for 20-22 minutes or until golden looking. Put a big plate over the pan and flip them over to turn them out.

Oops, sorry for the super long post! Blush

valiumredhead · 22/09/2011 16:05

Hello again! Don;t all faint at once - dh is in the office a lot this week so I get the laptop wooooooooo hoooooooo Grin

Lasagne anyone? Just made a huge one!

Oooooooooo I could make the dough for cinnamon rolls in my bread machine............ but I wonder what instant vanilla pudding mix is........ we're a bit lacking in the instant pud department in the UK Sad

gomummygo · 22/09/2011 18:23

Oh yes Valium, bread machine would be perfect Envy.

Sorry, I didn't know about the instant vanilla pudding mix not being there. It's packages like jello that you're supposed to add milk to and mix up. Not terribly desirable for actually eating as pudding, imo, but v. useful in baking.

Lasagne is my absolute favourite thing to make and eat. May I ask what is in yours?
