Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, Elmo, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Hiya Smile

Not doing much this weekend , just dropping dd off to a party soon and she has another party tomorrow too (she has a better social life than i do Grin )

Did a bit of Christmas shopping this morning , I love the run up to Xmas Smile .

RedRumMum · 17/10/2011 12:00

Where is everyone ? Grin

gomummygo · 17/10/2011 18:34

[hgrin]

Has DD recovered, Elmo?

RedRumMum · 17/10/2011 19:22

DD is great thanks gomummy Smile
She is finished her antib's & will stay on the
new inhalers for the winter.
Did you have a nice weekend?

FearfulYank · 17/10/2011 19:24

Tea it is normal at that age I think. :) I'll go have a proper read on your thread.

Mmm....scones! :)

Gomummy I wish you could come sort my house out for me. It is such a huge job right now and seems so overwhelming. :( I need help! I just want to get everything done , clean and organized and painted! Grr!

Oh well. DS is with his Papa (FIL) right now so I have some time to get a few things done. We have a class at our coffee shop tonight; preschoolers and parents are going to make a kind of leaf picture together or something. Anything to get us out of the house! :o

Nice decor Elmo !

RedRumElmosMum · 17/10/2011 19:41

The art class sounds like fun cheerful Smile

gomummygo · 17/10/2011 20:58

Busy but good, thanks Elmo. And you? Glad to hear that DD is doing better. Hopefully the inhalers will help keep ahead of things for the winter.

Fearful I SO would love to do that! Grin Have you ever tried Flylady? The 15 minute thing totally works, imo, as does that 3-bins thing for organizing (put away/give away/throw away). The other thing (not sure if I got it from flylady many moons ago or not?) that I do after a big get together or whenever things seem overwhelming is stand at the door of a room, and work clockwise. NO idea why that helps me, maybe it's just somewhere to start and a direction from there?

FearfulYank · 17/10/2011 22:34

I have done FlyLady and loved it, I just need to go back and stick to the routines. Blush

Some days are fine and I get things done and it seems great, and then other days I feel like the clutter is going to swallow me whole! I'm really visual too, and when there's more clutter I have concentration issues.

I need to just make more time to work on things instead of mumsnetting doing other things. :o

Glad DD is feeling better Elmo !

gomummygo · 17/10/2011 22:51

DH is like that Cheerful, cannot concentrate with any clutter around. SO hard when you're doing renovations though! Nothing is where it is supposed to be and there's all that extra stuff around. Just think how lovely it will be when you are totally finished though!

valiumredhead · 18/10/2011 12:54

Hi Folks :)

Ds and I have been really poorly with a horrible fluey type bug (not as bad as flu) the pair of us have only just got of the sofa today, we've been bad since Saturday. Blerk!

How's everyone else? x

FearfulYank · 18/10/2011 13:26

Aw, hope you're feeling lots better!

I have to post and run, getting ready for work. :)

RedRumElmosMum · 18/10/2011 14:03

Aww Valium Sad Hope you both feel better soon xx

gomummygo · 18/10/2011 17:35

Get well soon Valium & ValiumDS!

valiumredhead · 19/10/2011 16:36

Awww thanks ladies! We ventured out today, we looked like a pair of pasty vampires Grin

Hello btw! :)

gomummygo · 19/10/2011 18:57

Glad you're feeling better Valium, hope DS is as well.

One of the worst migraines I've ever had going on right now. It's been there for a couple of days but hit hard at about 2am and no signs of letting up even though I've already taken two injections.

DH travelling for work, will be gone a few more days. No family or friends anywhere near us. Running out of ideas for occupying DS. Any suggestions that involve me not having to move would be greatly appreciated.

FearfulYank · 19/10/2011 20:47

Oh that sounds terrible GoMummy ! :( I say let him watch as many videos, etc, as he wants.

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 19/10/2011 21:16

Is he good on a pc? DD can spend hours playing on the cbeebies website. I'm so sorry you're so ill Sad

TiredMUMMYno1 · 19/10/2011 21:31

Sorry to hear that gomummy, my advice would be the videos or pc games aswell, or a tub of peanut butter Grin

Hi all, hope you are all well, its bloomin freezin here, cant believe xmas is getting closer, although we gotta get past halloween first

Jamie got his first tooth Smile its so cute and ickle

gomummygo · 20/10/2011 00:06

Well you are all right, DS is enjoying his screen time and keeps whispering in a sing-song voice to me "it's more than fifteen minutes!" and grinning like a cheshire cat. Which is fine, he thinks he's getting away with something and I am lying in front of the fire with a lovely semi-frozen Migra-Cap on. (If they don't have them where you all are, it's an insanely attractive stretchy balaclava-type thing with built in ice pack pillows in all the right places. And for extra beauty, there is a hole in the top to stick your hair out of. Lurvley I am not!) Another injection and pain killers are taking the edge off a bit, but still counting down until bedtime. I am out of injectors now so sleep is the only thing that might help.

I am almost ready for Christmas, just the baking left to do.

Aw Tiredmum, you must take a piccy of the tooth!

RedRumElmosMum · 20/10/2011 17:10

Oh Gomummy Sad Migraines are horrible {hugs} Try keep the room you are in as dark as possible and yes let ds watch as much TV /dvds etc .
Hope you feel better very soon xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Awww Jamie's 1st tooth Smile

I saw a Christmas tree today in Tesco's Grin
< Holidays are coming , Holidays are coming >

valiumredhead · 20/10/2011 17:17

Oh Lord go that sounds horrible - hope it is on its way out by the time you read my post x

Very chilly here today, 4 degrees this morning brrrrrrrrrrrr!

Half term here next week - yipeeeeeeeee!

tired how can your little baby have a tooth already? Oh wow! Grin

FearfulYank · 20/10/2011 18:41

Aw, a tooth! :)

I hope you're feeling better gomummy . Migraines are SO terrible.

A friend of mine is preg and it's probably twins...I am Envy !

:o

gomummygo · 20/10/2011 18:59

Thanks for the good wishes all. :) Much better today, just the "hangover" part that comes after, iykwim. What a miserable experience that was.

They're up here too Elmo, usually we get past halloween first, but this year they're beside each other in the stores! Shock I figure next year they'll probably have a Santa dressed up in a Halloween costume!

RedRumElmosMum · 21/10/2011 15:54

Glad you are feeling better gomummy xx

Christmas trees are popping up in lots of shops here ATM - Normally they wait until the day after Halloween . Love the idea of Santa dressed up Grin

I had a coffee morning with a few friends this morning and while they were horrified by the HUGE Christmas tree in the coffee shop i was like a child and Mesmerized by it Grin

FearfulYank · 21/10/2011 16:05

I have boxes of Christmas stuff downstairs that I will drag up the second we're done eating Thanksgiving dinner. :)
