Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, Elmo, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

I always think of you or Gomummy or Go in my head which is silly because I know your RL name. :)

Yes it is sad...DH said that when his grandfather was alive he owned some land that butted against the shooter's, and it was the consensus that they were, for lack of a better word, crazy. And not to go on their land or this would happen. :( It's so terrible that no one could do anything about it! Apparently he was a much loved teacher and it's just so sad. :(

FearfulYank · 13/10/2011 03:55

GoMummy ! You are getting Target stores! Shock

It is my favorite place on earth. I am happy for you. :o

FearfulYank · 13/10/2011 03:57

Well, favorite place on earth is exaggerating a bit. Blush But I do like to shop there...

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 13/10/2011 09:44

Oh Fearful so sad. Horrid people.

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 13/10/2011 09:46

I really do not think you needed to apologise Rum. It wasn't that bad what you said, people say far worse on mn all the time. It's completely understandable after what your son has been through. [hsad]

valiumredhead · 13/10/2011 09:51

Where's the thread?

Morning folks :)

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 13/10/2011 10:23

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 13/10/2011 13:20

RedRumMum · 13/10/2011 14:19

Hi all Smile

How is everyone today ?
The weather here is lovely , so warm, people are walking around in t-shirts Smile which is very unusual for this time of the year .

Cheerful that's so Sad . will say a prayer for that mans family xx

gomummygo · 13/10/2011 16:02

Fearful, what's Target like? Similar to Walmart type thing?

It is really terrible when you have someone (or worse, a family) like that in your community. :( What I worry most about are people who think "they're all talk. They'd never really do x...." In the situation I was close to, I know there really, truly is nothing that would be out of bounds for this person. Yet so many people think, "oh, it's all talk." And then something terrible happens. :( The poor family of that teacher must be just devastated, what a senseless loss.

Back to seasonal weather here now. Pretty much ready for winter to hit, except getting the snow tires on (they are required by law here). And so it begins. Off to make quesadillas with DS for lunch.

Oh and Flowers for all of you lovely ladies, just because! :)

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 13/10/2011 18:21
[hsmile]
FearfulYank · 13/10/2011 18:49

Target is a bit like Wal-Mart but the stuff is much nicer. :)

FearfulYank · 13/10/2011 18:52

LOL Wookie ....so cute! There's another one I love that I'll link later.

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 13/10/2011 21:07

I put a post in potty training tonight but it looks terribly quiet over there, any top tips for me?: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/potty_training/1320808-My-4-3-year-old-DD-cannot-sleep-at-night-without-a-sleep-nappy-Is-this-normal

RedRumMum · 14/10/2011 18:04

Just had a quick read of your thread Tea , I agree with other posters about not rushing your dd x very normal at her age . My nephew wasn't dry at night until he was 6yrs old . All kids differ [hugs]

Woop woop it's Friday Smile

gomummygo · 14/10/2011 23:41

Sorry I have no suggestions Tea, but certainly sounds well within the realm of normal. I remember that DB was 6 or 7 before he was dry at night consistently and the doc telling my parents not to worry about it.

Oddly, if you heard my DGM tell it, we were all dry 24/7 by 12 months, lol.

Anyone have weekend plans?
