to wear the same top 4 days in a row to work?

I've been so busy with work and kids that i've not had time to do a laundry wash at all this week and I only had one top on Monday that wasnt in the laundry basket. I could iron one, but with this and that, i've not had time, so today will be the 4th day I have this top on. I shower every day btw and it's a sedantry office job, sat at a desk all day, so not getting all sweaty!

Personally, I wouldn't.
If you're even asking the question then I think you probably know that 4 days is a bit much for one item of clothing.

I think you would be better off in a wrinkly top rather than a 4 day old one.

You don't have five minutes out of 24 hours to run an iron over a top?

I think you need help with your time management.

You haven't sat down with a cup of tea? You haven't watched a tv programme? You haven't had a chat on the phone with anyone? You haven't gone on the computer? etc etc

If you have done any of those things, or a hundred other similar examples, then you have had time to run an iron over your top. You have chosen not to, in favour of other things.

Time management.

But don't try to fool yourself that you haven't had time. You haven't made time.

Does seem just that tiny bit too long. But if it doesn't actually smell or look dirty - including not smelling under the armpits - then it is okay.

YABU to try to convince yourself that you don't have time to iron a top.

It's a bit grotty to wear something for four days, and can't feel nice to put well-worn clothes onto a washed body, but I don't think it really matters as long as you smell clean and don't look messy.

Never mind to work...you shouldnt wear the same top 4 days in a row anyway! I work full time and have a DS so I feel your pain but seriously, if you cant find 5 mins to run the iron over something or chuck a load of washing in the washing machine you need to sort out your time management Wink

Wear a clean one 'as is'. I don't get the need for ironing. I don't iron anything, haven't for years.

I rarely iron anything. I never go out looking crinkly though. If thing are folded and put away as soon as they are dry, most things look fine when you put them on. If I needed to though, I could iron a top in the time it has taken me to write this post.

If you have been wearing a top for four days, it will smell. You will presumably have prepared food wearing it, so there is no way it wil smell fresh, even if it doesnt smell sweaty.

Thing is, someone may think they don't smell - but people just can't smell themselves the way other people can! People don't notice when they've got boaking BO, for crying out loud! You think they can tell when their clothing is a bit whiffy? Trust me, other people will not be smelling what you're smelling!

Or rather, they'll be smelling what you're not smelling! Grin

I wouldn't wear a work top more than once without washing, even with a sedentary job you can get a bit sweaty on your commute, especially on crowded public transport (if you commute in a nice air conditioned car it might be different!). Sorry but I would be surprised if it didn't smell just a little bit after being worn for 4 days.

I don't generally iron, so wouldn't have that problem! But surely you could get up 5 minutes earlier in the morning and iron one if you feel it needs doing?

YABU, yuck. I hardly ever iron clothes and have yet to hear any criticism of my appearance.
