I've been so busy with work and kids that i've not had time to do a laundry wash at all this week and I only had one top on Monday that wasnt in the laundry basket. I could iron one, but with this and that, i've not had time, so today will be the 4th day I have this top on. I shower every day btw and it's a sedantry office job, sat at a desk all day, so not getting all sweaty!

Decision, do I go on mumsnet and smell a bit or not go on mumsnet and not smell? Grin

Abgirl · 21/07/2011 13:11

Put a load of washing on every evening before you go to bed, and hang it out or tumble dry before you go to work - no excuses.... 4 days in a row is grim...

DooinMeCleanin · 21/07/2011 13:13

You are too busy to iron/wash clothes but your top doesn't smell after four days? Confused

I am busy with work, dogs, children etc. If I wore my top for days it would get up and walk off on its own Grin

YABU and stinky.

natandjacob · 21/07/2011 13:15

personally i wouldnt do that. if you cant be bothered to get the ironing board out then its easy enough to hold a simple top above a boiling kettle and steam the wrinkles out. job done in 2 minutes!

EightiesChick · 21/07/2011 13:15

On the ironing front - lots of stuff doesn't even need ironing (jersey tops etc) and for stuff that does, either put it on a radiator overnight in winter or hand it in the bathroom while you are showering in the morning in summer. No extra time taken and it will get rid of the worst / all creasing.

knittedbreast · 21/07/2011 13:15

if it dousnt smell wear it anyway.

different people sweat/smell differently-

mrsbabookaloo · 21/07/2011 13:17

I love this thread!

Because a) it makes me feel less manky because my limit is two, but I am so glad someone else would stretch that further and
b)I love seeing all the clean freaks on here up in arms.

Finally for gods sake wear a clean one and don't iron it. Life is too short to iron.

I never iron my clothes and people are amazed when they find out.

But I can't wear a top longer than 1 day as I have paranoia about smelling. I used to work with a girl who didn't realise how smelly she was by wearing the same clothes daily.

Flatstomachenomore · 21/07/2011 13:39

The amount of time you spent posting your question could have been better spent ironing a clean top don't you think? Yuck, I'm just glad I don't work with you!!

scuzy · 21/07/2011 14:45

the only thing i would wear for a few days in a row is a pair of jeans unless obviously dirty. i work in an office and wear a clean top every day. 4 days is just manky.

another point though .... have you not showered for 4 days either? or do you put back on the same dirty top? if you have no laundry done does it extend to same grotty underwear too?

eugh!

fluffy123 · 21/07/2011 15:09

Have you found time to shower in the last 4 days?

valiumredhead · 21/07/2011 16:13

Ewwwwwwww FOUR days?? Ick!

eastegg · 21/07/2011 16:14

Why are people asking if she's showered in the last 4 days all of a sudden? She says in the OP that she showers every day.

Graciescotland · 21/07/2011 16:16

Buy non iron clothes in the future Grin

JarethTheGoblinKing · 22/07/2011 10:02

I wonder if the op got the message? Wink

scuzy · 22/07/2011 10:28

well op never came back so me thinks its a bit of a wind up.

as for the showering comment? how could you put back on dirty clothes (and when i say dirty they dont have to be visibly dirty but smelly and sweaty) after having a shower?

i hate to think what the kids are wearing!!

If you have had time to shower, you have had time to run an iron over a top.

I would curl my lip somewhat at someone wearing the same top all week.

Plus, it is July. I don't know where you are OP but it is hot and humid here. You probably honk.

TrillianAstra · 22/07/2011 11:00

Get some tops that don't need ironing!
