To think we should be able to hide posts by certain people?

Not sure if this has been suggested but anyway, there are certain posters I just can't stand. They never say anything bad enough to warrant reporting but I just always get the feeling that they are trying to get a reaction or deliberately saying the opposite to everyone else to get a rise.

I never reply, because I feel that would give them attention they don't deserve but they do annoy me. I read the posts before I see the poster's name as in sure many of you do and I think it would be useful to be able to just hide all posts by a particular person within a thread instead of hiding the whole thread.

But filthy, then trolls and generally horrible posters would get away with posting crap. Posters like the old DP would have gone unreported for racism and homophobia, because they would have been hidden. So mnhq would end up monitoring every thread

And I think the major problem with "hide poster" is that you would never get the chance to change your mind about someone. You'd decide to hide them and then never see the interesting/insightful/caring/witty contributions they made elsewhere.

Bloody wish people would name the posters who really annoy em. Mine is smallwhitecat - she is always on my case which I dont mind but she does it with a total lack of charm and good humour.

I find paggers a bit annoying as well.

Hven't read the whole thread, but I think being able to hide specific posters is a great idea. You know what they're going to say, anyway, and it would be an individual choice, ie different people would hide different idiots posters.
