Then don't.

Easy.

Morloth · 15/07/2011 05:32

So don't?

I never have, nothing bad will happen, I promise.

ZacharyQuack · 15/07/2011 05:34

Just shave one side and see which you prefer.

ThumbsNoseAtSnapewitch · 15/07/2011 05:38

no YANBU! If you don't want to, then don't.

I know some people like it, the look or the feel or both, but it gives me the creeps.

I do shave my pits and my lower legs, but pits are for smell reasons and legs are because the hair goes dark and curly round my ankles if I don't (otherwise I wouldn't).

Whorulestheroost · 15/07/2011 05:48

Yanbu. It's your fanny and you can do what you like with it :o

kreecherlivesupstairs · 15/07/2011 05:49

I agree with Morloth, your house won't fall down if you don't.

creamola · 15/07/2011 05:54

I trim with scissors (carefully!)

spookshowangel · 15/07/2011 08:20

oh seona just get a trimmer, why use scissors?

BitOfFun · 15/07/2011 08:22

Do you really have to run the minutiae of your bathroom habits by a public forum?

cantspel · 15/07/2011 08:22

The rest of the world doesn't care how you groom your under carriage
Do what ever suits you best.

upahill · 15/07/2011 08:27

Who cares what you do down there? Confused

catinthehat2 · 15/07/2011 08:28

You have permission since you seem to need it

In future, remember you don't need to ask for permission to do this sort of stuff

Numberfour · 15/07/2011 08:30

Catinthehat, don't be daft. Of course OP needs to ask permission - what planet are you on?

AnyFucker · 15/07/2011 08:31

what you asking us for ? Confused

Fuzzled · 15/07/2011 11:34

I borrowed stole & hid DH's old beard trimmer. Much quicker than scissors and everything is nice and neat.
He was a bit Hmm about it, but he got a nicer trimmer, and I got a nice trim and he can use see the benefits IYSWIM Blush

Ormirian · 15/07/2011 11:36

No

WhereYouLeftIt · 15/07/2011 12:19

"Just shave one side and see which you prefer."
That did make me laugh!

Can I just show my age and ask when this level of de-fuzzing began? I'm sure when I was younger and cared about my appearance female shaving involved underarms and below the knees only, maybe a bikini wax just before your holiday (because you were actually going to be wearing a tiny bikini).

TheFeministsWife · 15/07/2011 12:29

Nope be as hairy as you like! Just for a bit of TMI..... I used Immac (that's how long ago it was) down there once just to do my bikini line. I got a bit slap happy with the cream and ended up with no hair! The fucking thing looked a goddam raw chicken fillet, it was bloody horrible! And hurt and itched like hell when it grew back. Since then I've always gone for the full bush look. [hwink][hgrin][hblush][hshock]

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/07/2011 12:40

LeftIt, I think it's getting worse and blame the pornification of culture generally. I've been monogamously with DP for over ten years and often wonder, if I were (God forbid) back in the dating game, do men now expect less body hair than ten years ago?

ElectricSoftParade · 15/07/2011 13:31

LadyClarice I think you are right re: pornification of culture. I am a woman of a certain age (42) and really cannot remember shaving anything other than pits and lower legs as a younger woman. If going on holiday or swimming possibly a small area shaved.

Like TFW I too have had an unfortunate experience with Immac. These experiences change you as a woman and you do not forget Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/07/2011 13:37

I flirted with Immac as a teenager but the smell was vile. Presumably it's better now though.

I'm 36. I do worry about the hair situation and what is 'required' these days. To this day I haven't had a bikini wax or shave. I am a hypocrite about this issue though; I stand against getting rid of pubic hair, but I don't want mine to show in the pool/at the beach, so rather than getting rid of it I wear shorts rather than a cozzie or bikini bottoms so it just doesn't show. Solves a problem but it's not exactly standing up for the natural woman, is it? Grin

shakey1500 · 15/07/2011 13:44

As I've aged, my downstairs area has got out of hand but I simply cannot be bothered to tackle it, save a quick tidy for holidays' sake.

That I've had threatening letters fom the Forestry Commision has thus far not swayed me Grin

hairfullofsnakes · 15/07/2011 13:49

I trim but hate the plucked chicken look so no, will never shave or wax it all off although I do have a bikini wax for the overflow from the triangle area!

thursday · 15/07/2011 13:54

pluck??

it's not compulsory, leave it be if you want.
