How miserable are you that the Tories are in power?

I feel tense and twitchy. I used to enjoy reading the politic section/ other political forums, but I fear if I keep on going there and reading more and more about Tory plans, I will give myself a heart attack.

I loath them but worst I fear them. I am anxious for this country and the ordinary man and woman.

Dave makes me feel insane with hatred.

I have a colleague who is in love with the Tories. I don't share biscuits with him any more.

Dave makes me itch. All over.

JoleneJoleneJoleneJoleeene · 08/07/2011 18:26

I quite like William Hagues voice actually.Blush

JoleneJoleneJoleneJoleeene · 08/07/2011 18:27

Longfingernails has been strangely silent recently...

valiumredhead · 08/07/2011 18:28

Jolene so do I!! If I close my eyes I can almost forget that he is Tory................... almost but not quite Grin

MrsBuntyisRatherGrumpy · 08/07/2011 18:29

You strange lot!

MrsBuntyisRatherGrumpy · 08/07/2011 18:29

Daddy Pig's voice is sexier.

claig · 08/07/2011 18:33

I disagree. There is no way that Gordon's voice is sexier.

aquashiv · 08/07/2011 18:34

YANBU at all....the country always end up a hell of alot worse under a Tory government. It takes years to recover. Even in a year things have gone from bad to worse for the ordinary working person.

NotJoiningIn · 08/07/2011 18:34

I'm feeling bad for hijacking this serious thread with my ridiculous comments Blush. I'm not an expert on politics and I can't argue some of these points as I am not sure of the facts. But what I do know is, I was a bit sick of the old nanny state under the last government- a bit bored of being told what to do all the time! So this one is a little refreshing in that area- as long as they get my money, and I don't take any of theirs, they don't care what I do!

claig · 08/07/2011 18:35

or was that a reference to Prescott?

LolaRennt · 08/07/2011 18:36

meh, I didnt feel any better or worse. They're all as bad as each other

sweetness86 · 08/07/2011 18:38

Poor old William Hague. He has a face and voice that only a mother (and maybe Fffffion) could love. In fact the entire conservative party look like some strange alien breed that has crawled from underneath a rock they have been festering under for several years. Not that I should be judging them on how they look, it shouldn't affect their ability to do their job. Hang on - they can't do that, either!

So true ROFL !!!!!!!!!!!!

CaveMum · 08/07/2011 18:39

[makes a t-shirt with "What Niceguy Said" on it]

You wrote a very good post on another thread likening Labour to bring the "cool" dad with a credit card. I can't copy and paste it from my phone, but I think you hit the nail on the head.

claig · 08/07/2011 18:42

Cavemum, I like your stone age views. Back to basics and less of the lying tricks, that's what we need more of.

Carminagetsprimal · 08/07/2011 18:43

LFN only shows up about once a month - starts a thread about how crap labour are and then disappears - cool or what.

claig · 08/07/2011 18:45

'likening Labour to bring the "cool" dad with a credit card'

I'd rather hoped we'd seen the back of Tony Blair and his "Cool Britannia", but you never know, maybe he will resurface like in that movie 'The Cool Daddy Returns.'

I'm not miserable. I voted them in. I want a party who is prepared to sort out this countries finances. It is a very thorny rose to grab and the only party to do so is the Tories. Other parties would have continued to spend money we don't have until we would be in the same position as Greece.

frillyflower · 08/07/2011 18:54

So easy to keep blaming labour - getting boring now

How far back do you want to go? The Tories stripped our country of our manufacturing and it was those tossers that did some momunmental fuck ups with our monetry system do you remember Black Wednesday? They did a sterling job of creating a rich poor divide. They fucked up our education system, hospitals, transport system and unemployment was at all time high, inflation was through the roof as were inflation rates causing many to loose their homes.

Its far too simplistic to just blame Labour and am fed up of hearing this convenient excuse . Change the record and get on with building the country not stripping it off its assets services and jobs for the people.
Its like reading a Murdoch tripe filled newspaper.
