Wow if Hugh Grant hosted QT every week am sure more people might be more interested in politics
I watch question time every week and am looking forward to it being back on in September especially as David Milliband will be on the first show .

Seems like most peoples watching QT last night were way more interested in HG than in politics!!

Personally, I thought SW was good, but she always is when she's on QT.

I love HG, and when he called out Douglas Alexander I think I loved him even more.

yes, something likeable about Hugh Grant. The yanks have seen him in films; and they think we are all like him

Actually never liked HG, could never understand what people saw in him, seemed to be a bit of a one trick pony.

BUT he was very good alot better than I expected, cut through a lot of the bull that was been spouted.

If you're interestred in politics there's no pint watching OT. It's a bloody pantomime.

All I could think though was he'd be good for a privacy debate q&a session on MN.

do you think MN towers could lure him in, are tea and biscuits sufficient bait ?

I think he reprised his Love Actually role very well for his appearance on QT.

He is cute though, and lets face it Arnie did okay in politics, despite being a one dimensional actor. No reason why Hugh couldn't do it too. It would be nice to have a politician on TV, whose face I don't want to punch in as soon as they appear!

He was indeed very good on QT, as was Shirley Williams.

QT is in Norn Iron the week after which should also be worth watching.

It would be good to have someone with the sort of attitude Hugh Grant reflected on QT as head of the Press Complaints Commission.

I sort of like all the grants. Cary Hugh and Richard E (an impressionist once did all 3 brilliantly)

I cannot stand Shirley Williams. Sent her child many many years ago to a grant maintained/private school whilst shutting down the grammar's, same with Ruth Kelly, Diane Abbot etc. Spout off nonsense about all being equal and then do the complete opposite. Diane Abbott is the worst imho. Why the people of Hackney vote for her is beyond me

YANBU - I saw him on Channel 4 News last night. Hadn't seem him for ages but wow. He was articulate, intelligent and rather handsome....

YANBU. And springydaffs, I would say he was a shit. I think he's redeeming himself now. Next step for him should be into politics to fight against human trafficking and in particular the rights of sex workers. Then he'll be redeeming himself quite nicely. And making the HoC look a bit more attractive to boot.

Hardly surprising Gaunt was against a body to monitor the press given his history.Grant made him look a fool.

Gaunt was exactly like those pigs in trenchcoats that Spitting Image used to use to represent the press.

Having just iPlayered, I have fallen even deeper in love with Hugh Grant.
