I really liked music and lyrics

magicmummy1 · 07/07/2011 23:29

I met him years ago. He was lovely.

stressheaderic · 07/07/2011 23:31

He's been spot on tonight. Brought a bit of glamour to the proceedings too.

DogsBestFriend · 07/07/2011 23:33

Loolah, Magic, I hate you! Envy

:o

Rindercella · 07/07/2011 23:34

He is looking very fine tonight.

The press have always hounded him. I am starting to understand why he always looked super grumpy whenever papped.

NormanTebbit · 07/07/2011 23:34

Well that was the best questiontime ever

CQrrrneee · 07/07/2011 23:36

wasn't it just!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 07/07/2011 23:37

Oh bugger I've missed it! Will it be on iPlayer?

CQrrrneee · 07/07/2011 23:39

probably. they put all the boring things on there

shakey1500 · 07/07/2011 23:39

NormanTebbit - oooohhhh I don't know! The QT that had Nick Griffin squirming in his seat ranks top for me Grin

Thumbs up for Hugh though yes I so would

complexnumber · 07/07/2011 23:40

Underestimate HG's intellect or wit at your peril.

I loved the moment when he pointed out to the Sun hack that they were in fact in Basingstoke, not London.

Scotsfairy · 07/07/2011 23:40

Aaaah....glad to hear it's not just me... Grin

dribble

He is looking mighty fine at the moment...and witty.....

I've always hated myself for fancying him soooo much - even in Music & Lyrics. I feel a little less self loathing this evening Wink

ShellyBoobs · 07/07/2011 23:55

I've only just seen this thread but was thinking all the way through QT that I was being unreasonably attracted to Hugh.

QT seemed more like a rom(slightly)com than a political debating programme tonight. How utterly wonderful. I wish it was like this every week instead of the tit-for-tat politicking that usually prevails.

Easier on the eye than Billy Bragg!

Nancy66 · 07/07/2011 23:55

didn't see QT but think HG is a monumental cock.
total hypocrite too - as he is very cosy with Matthew Freud

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 07/07/2011 23:56

Anyone else who missed it, BBC Parliament are showing it 6pm Sunday.

BitOfFun · 07/07/2011 23:57

It's worth a watch, Nancy. I don't have any personal hero worship for the guy actually, but he did a really good job tonight. I was quite surprised.

Nancy66 · 07/07/2011 23:59

He's very articulate and I'm sure he came across brilliantly - and I will watch it.
But he has a personal axe to grind against the NOTW I doubt he gives a toss about anybody else.
He's notoriously unpleasant to fans that ask for autographs.

AwesomePan · 08/07/2011 00:10

oooh I 'm no great HG fan, but Nancy your small-minded bitterness expressed previously on another thread re the incident with a prostitute ( which was cheaply brought up this evening and he was grace itself about it) sort of undermines your position here.

He was eloquent, sharp, charming, brave given his vulnerability currently, and well-informed.

so have one of these..Biscuit

Nancy66 · 08/07/2011 00:15

It's called an opinion - and the Divine Brown incident is entirely relevant.

mummymeister · 08/07/2011 00:18

I am not in the least bit an HG fan but tonight on QT he got right to the heart of the problem. even had old shirl the girl a bit flustered too which takes some doing. what a mess the press is in though. HG was adamant that all the tabloids are at it - where will it end then. I am a complete QT junkie and it is certainly better than Nick Griffiths. I got the feeling of an everyman moment with HG saying things that i have been thinking all day. but the big question is who will be hosting on the 8th Sept then. Hg perhaps?

BenHer · 08/07/2011 00:19

Loved him ramming it down John Gaunts throat.A Divine performance!
