Health Tourism - woman has 5 babies on the NHS

AIBU to think that this woman is taking the bloody piss?

I very much doubt she will be sent back. Who is paying her legal fees is what I would like to know?

Are we a soft touch or just a lovely compassionate country with enough resources for all?

They've made it sound as though she scoffed a load of drugs just to get pregnant, then deliberately flew over here just to take advantage of our NHS. Which I can't fully believe 100%. I'm sure there's another side to this story that, over the next few weeks, we'll probably be drip-fed with added slant to make her sound even worse.

Oh gosh - the Nigerian government are not making anything out of that though are they Duchess. Is it being done without their consent? If so that's an international outrage Angry.

I'm very happy that two posters are in such agreement- it's nice when that happens, you don't feel so alone. It's almost as if they are the same person! Marvellous.

Anyway, yes, stop these hordes of women coming over and having 5 babies again and again. It makes a mockery of something.

Ah yes, and every one of the 150 million Nigerians is personally to blame for what their government does with the oil millions.

Frankly if I found myself in that position with not a dicky bird in hell's chance of decent health care I'd do exactly what this woman did. Luckily I am a UK citizen, which means I won the jackpot of life in terms of access to healthcare and education.

Gorgeous babies and born safe and well, so a happy outcome.
They may not have survived if born in Nigeria, and she appears to have family here to help her out.

why does everyone on here hate people who make quite pertinent points? are you all so incredibly left wing you refuse to actually accept that there is a big problem with things like this? We, as an affluent nation should of course accept people in to our country for the right reasons but why not accept that some of them come here and seriously take the piss? Are you all a) rich enough not to give a toss or b) too terrified of being called 'racists? For god's sake, can we not have a proper discussion for once?

well you seem to be ranting, i suggest you stop reading the sun as it has lots of stories of those horrible brown people coming over here and taking advantage of the nhs, jobs, dss and so on but then it probably appeals to you as you are ignorant, they like to do that the sun, the dm, the news of the world wind up ignorant people

a little bit of history to enlighten you the british empire at one time ruled 1/4 of the world and drained every country of everything they could, this is why britain was great no other reason after the second world war it all fell apart, nigeria was one of the countries that became independent, but we still control their natural resources their oil

lovecorrie- quite frankly that OP's OP is the virtual equivalent of that foul-mouthed geezer who's always down the pub getting more and more pissed and railing about "Pakis" and "the wife" and expecting everyone around to agree. And everything he/she has said since has reinforced that image.
