The Non-Feminist Point of View

JamesHuff · 29/06/2011 15:00

I have noticed over the last while that the Feminist section has grown over the last bit.

This does not surprise me, but I feel compelled to ask why this site has begun to ascribe to a sociopolitical ideology when it was originally a resource for parents.

I think that as a result of this discrepancy, non-feminist points of view should have their own section as well. I hope people who disagree with inequalities feminism has created within our legislation will be compelled to express themselves more often.

I don't see it as unreasonable. Since there will be disagreements on various topics, I just figure a non-feminist based section would be in order. This way parents have a choice that reflects both sides of the coin.

He'll have to be Billz at the very least

Chen23 · 29/06/2011 15:48

To give you an idea of where James finds himself comfortable, take a visit to the antimisandry discussion site where there are such gems as

*Does Pussy size matter:

To me the size/thightness of a women's pussy does matter, I would not want to sleep with a women with a canon cunt that's so baggy from over use that she leaves snail trails where ever she goes.*

This single ricky gervais look alike needs to give it a rest imo, he sounds to me like a teenager driven to a dislike of women due to a proven inabiity to get laid.

Mother issues?

Birdsgottafly · 29/06/2011 15:49

OP- the facility is there to ask any question in AIBU, including anti-feminist questions. There are many disagreeing posts to the more radical feminist threads.

ShirleyKnot · 29/06/2011 15:49

SHIT! sorry Pinot!

AbsDuCroissant · 29/06/2011 15:49

James, are you the moron posting on the Guardian about how having babies is a "lifestyle choice" that women do in their spare time, and should not get any maternity leave? Are you?

what exactly do you object to when it comes to feminism? The equality, the political power, the equal pay?

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 15:50

Look at my wrinklez. Fuckz zake.

VelvetSnow · 29/06/2011 15:50

I would say I am not a feminist, in fact I have seen a few threads in that topic which have resulted in me wanting to hide the topic altogether - however i have no desire to post a non feminist point of view topic.

Not arsed either way tbh.

TandB · 29/06/2011 15:50

That's babiez, Abs. Get with the program.

And his name is now Bilz.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 15:51

I have to go out, but Jamez, I want you to know that even Wayne has fake hair now. There's no shame if you want to beard bulk.

HeavyHeidi · 29/06/2011 15:51

Can someone please attempt to define a well thought out reason why there is not a non-feminist section.I know plenty of non-feminist women who have children or are expecting, and are dismayed by feminism.

You were told. Having an anti-feminist section is the same as having a racist or nazi section. I'm sure many parents believe in those ideas as well, but I don't think we should advertize and encourage it on a parenting forum.

JamesHuff · 29/06/2011 15:51

@Ormirian
No, actually I don't make that assumption. Unfortunately, institutionalized misandry within the family courts stems directly from feminist ideology, though. Individual feminists may agree or disagree with certain tenets held in the common philosophy, one of the reasons I listen. I certainly do not agree with all those claiming to be non-feminists, either...though I identify as one. As a result...this a discussion about why one ideology is represented here more than the other.

tribpot · 29/06/2011 15:53

What is the ideology that is non-feminism? Is it sexism? Could you please define the term non-feminism?

It sounds a bit like the dream that was Rome.
