Jeremy 'prick' Clarkson has written a piece in his Saturday column in the sun newspaper about breastfeeding and says amongst other things that 'you say it's the most natural thing in the world, but so is taking a dump' and urges women who bf not to do so when 'men are looking'. He also urges women who bf not to be smug as 'all she has done is have a baby and that's what women are designed to do' and 'a woman giving birth is no cleverer than a man standing up to take a leak'

I could go on but now I am wondering why I am even bothering to be bothered about this scumbag's stupid words. I suppose I just want to say he is a total CUNT and we should all kick him in his (small) balls just for fun. Who is with me?!

He is a cock.
But he is right that there's nothing "clever" about giving birth.

Desiderata · 25/06/2011 19:02

You have no sense of humour.

Jezzer is seriously funny.

LineRunner · 25/06/2011 19:02

What's Clarkson claiming to be clever at? Calculus?

Desiderata · 25/06/2011 19:04

He's funnier than any woman I ever met.

slug · 25/06/2011 19:04

Jezza or Piers Morgan. Which is more slappable? Discuss

AliceWhirled · 25/06/2011 19:06
. He starts talking about JC at about 50 secs.
Tortington · 25/06/2011 19:06

i do like clarkson :D

hairfullofsnakes · 25/06/2011 20:33

He's about as funny as shit

OP posts:
Desiderata · 25/06/2011 20:37

Personally, I would ban breastfeeding in public as I find it offensive.

scottishmummy · 25/06/2011 20:42

stop talking about the goon.folk getting het up and indignant is exactly the reaction he is after.he actively courts and seeks this publicity, knowing response it will generate

genuinely,he is best ignored

WinkyWinkola · 25/06/2011 20:42

He can be a bit funny sometimes. Usually even the occasionally funny man is attractive but Jeremy Clarkson remains repellant even if he makes me smile. I think it's because I suspect he might really be a very nasty piece of work under all the swagger.

Desiderata · 25/06/2011 20:45

I always agree with Jezzer.

Put your tits away, gals. I don't wanna see 'em.

lovemyskinnyjeans · 25/06/2011 20:45

I think he's really funny. He doesn't offend me at all as I take him in the manner in which he intends. I get more offended by overtly showy bfs to be honest, they really get on my tits...

DogsBestFriend · 25/06/2011 20:45

Sense of humour failure is standard MN practice I'm afraid Desiderata. JC is not only funny, he's smart too.

While I don't agree with the "don't BF when men are looking" bit the rest of it is undeniable. BF is a natural boldily function like going to the loo, there is nothing "clever" about giving birth. It does not need a particular skill.

Winning the Grand Prix, flying a helicopter, performing open heart surgery, now that's clever.

And, as has been said far more eloquently above, the man gets paid to be contraversial. There's no such thing as bad publicity in his game. He doesn't have to believe it - there are MNers out there who, no doubt, work for UniLever but who don't use their washing powder, those who sell city appartments who wouldn't give you tuppence for them. You don't have to believe in the product/argument to sell it.

But when you can sell it nonetheless, well, that's clever.

piprabbit · 25/06/2011 20:46

He is like an habitual flasher - dropping his pants in the hope of getting a big response from his audience.

Sometimes it is amusing.
At other times I just want to say "put it away, dear, it's not big or clever and now is not the time or place".

HellAtWork · 25/06/2011 20:46

mdowdall Oh go on call us all douchebags like you did last time! It's actually mildly amusing watching you rant and rave about MN like a hysterical loon and then stick around in the hope of getting a rise out of someone. Haven't you got an anti-woman teacher bashing troll thread to start of your own somewhere? It is a Saturday night after all. You've obviously got nothing better to do. Go on. Push the boat out.

CocktailQueen · 25/06/2011 20:48

Deliberately inflammatory. Fair enough, watch him on top gear as he apparently knows about cars. but don't read/watch him on anything else as he obv doesn't know about anything else!!

When you spend too much time on this site, you realize that most women have no sense of humour whatsoever.

Thank God for Clarkson.

Chen23 · 25/06/2011 20:55

He's a boorish cretin, a past it dinosaur in crap stone washed jeans who makes a living out of being 'controversial' in as. inane a way as possible. Surprised to see a few people have anything positive to say about this oafish fuck knuckle.

I've been at the same table as him at a birthday party and he's even more vapid and attention seeking in RL.

Dull, dull, dull.

scottishmummy · 25/06/2011 20:56

not worth the indignant ire he generates, but not funny.hes too obvious to be funny

and the earth goddess I am woman i am mutha hear me wooar are just easy pickings.nothing subtle or clever about taking piss out of the tampon weavers

lovemyskinnyjeans · 25/06/2011 20:57

And yet he's still so popular....

hairfullofsnakes · 25/06/2011 20:58

Ladies just ignore mdwall or whatever it's called - it's probably twatty clarkson's mother - they both spout the same ignorant shite!
