My husband and I recently went to stay with my parents for a week. Long story short, we were having a flick through my Dad's Filofax (bad I know) and found various usernames and passwords for websites which turned out to be forums for people who enjoy spanking. On these forums, we found evidence that my Dad has been meeting women in hotel rooms for about the last 7 years to spank them and also possibly have sex with them. He has also been buying canes and toys from Ebay. My husband wants to tell my mother about it, but I have banned him from doing so. Am I being unreasonable?

He does have a Filofax (still likes to think of himself as some kind of high-powered businessman), which was left open in the living room. I found it quite difficult to look at him for the rest of the visit. I stumbled across some similar things in his internet history when I was in my early teens, and had blocked out the memory quite successfully until now.

The likes of the 'British spanking' website were next to a list of supermarket and bank log-ins, perhaps in an attempt to confuse my mother. She is just managing to tolerate him at the moment; we have only ever worked as a family when he is away. I suppose he wants to tell her so she doesn't waste the rest of her life on a cheat.
