and really an argument for enforced sterilization, eugenics or just bloody putting them down.

There is no hope for this country when feral vile "people" like this are allowed to breed.

One bloke no job two kids been sleeping with a girl her sister and her best friend, and good old tax payer picks up the tab.

Some people should not be allowed to breed.

I know its my own fault for watching it Grin

You think I'm a glittery hun do ya ?

hahahahahaha

MmeLindor. · 08/06/2011 20:33

No one is saying that we admire the guy.

But there is a difference between saying that the guy is a wanker and waffling about eugenics.

And putting people down.

Do you even know the historical facts about eugenics, or are you spouting off cause it sounds good?

BrianAndHisBalls · 08/06/2011 20:34

Trillian - I know he chose it but how fucked up must his head be if he wanted to choose it iyswim? He can't have been shown much respect or love in his life if he thinks thats a good thing to do.

BrianAndHisBalls · 08/06/2011 20:34

I know you are Usual, I've seen your glittery ticker Grin

Peachy · 08/06/2011 20:35

Right so why did he do it trillian?

What was so shit about his life that a single loving rewarding relationship is not enough? Why is he getting his adrenaline from screwing about and not, say, climbing mountains or a career ladder?

At eight did he want to be a serial shagging claimant or an astronaut? A dropout or a train driver?

These are the questions that interest me, nothing JK ever asks and without them we won;t ever learn anything.

And yes as mum to Sn kids I find even a menion of a system developed to prevent the birth of my children and those like them abhorrent.

Mamaz0n · 08/06/2011 20:36

the fact you have a child with SN makes your call for Eugenics even more ignorant.

I think that you should take a moment to read just what that entails before you call for its use.

CuntyMacCaw · 08/06/2011 20:36

People should Keep Inside Moderate Instructions on websites, especially if they tend to offend and upset other parents who might have children with special needs.

ShirleyKnot · 08/06/2011 20:36

Duh, no shit Trillian. Hmm

Going forward, best you don't talk about fucking EUGENICS in future then in relation to ANYTHING eh?

Jesus.

MmeLindor. · 08/06/2011 20:37

And as to your question about the name - when another poster has a name that is well known then I do think it is unfair to use a name that is so similar that it causes confusion.

I don't really understand your problem tbh.

TrillianAstra has been posting regularly under her name for years and is, under this name a known MNetter. Nothing about MN royalty, but she has "friends" who recognise her by her name.

You post infrequently and so are often mistakenly taken for TA. Since you have not spent time building up the name, it will not harm you to change to a different one.

Trillian · 08/06/2011 20:38

so he was not shown any love or respect in his life and so he does what he does, and what do you think his children will grow up to be like????

At least his girlfriend by the end of the show was saying she was done with him and going to college, I hope she does because then maybe she will make better choices when it comes to who she gets involved with

OP posts:
Peachy · 08/06/2011 20:38

Trillain that's exactly what eugeniics is- a system designed specifically for that purpose.

A mention of eugenics means exactly that.

It's a historical truth.

In recent RL I have eugenics all but suggested to me as an option for my boys by my BIL (he hinted strongly enough- 'we can't afford them' to be exact with lots of toehr crap alongside) and it's crap.

ShirleyKnot · 08/06/2011 20:38

Why can't you just go back to your old name?

TeddyMcardle · 08/06/2011 20:39

Thanks Beesimo, stepped away from this thread for a while as it made me too angry. Racism, ignorance and stupidity have nothing to do with class ime. Nice to see it challenged though.

uselesscamhs · 08/06/2011 20:39

''I have a "special needs child" ......''

Then be careful in touting eugenic philosophies - the first victims of nazi eugenics were 'children with special needs'

Peachy · 08/06/2011 20:39

Well trillian Nan was disabled for all her adult life and Grandad an alkie with a taste for wife beating

I am neither; children and grandchildren do not necessarily replicate their aprents actions especially I assume if the parent is non resident

genes are just a aprt of the equation

Trillian · 08/06/2011 20:40

I am keeping the name
Get over it

OP posts:
Peachy · 08/06/2011 20:40

(I should say I am not like Grandad, for all I remember Nan was lovely if absolutely to an extreme by a lifetime of hardship and abuse)

MmeLindor. · 08/06/2011 20:40

"so he was not shown any love or respect in his life and so he does what he does, and what do you think his children will grow up to be like???"

That is the point we are making.

Because of his upbringing, he is the way he is. Or perhaps not only because of his upbringing, but it was a factor.

Should we judge his children because they were brought up by a wanker like him, or pity them?

Mamaz0n · 08/06/2011 20:41

Like i said way back in the beginning of thise thread Trillian, There are a huge number of societal reasons for the behaviours of the guests of teh JK show.

Most of which will be far from solved simply by pointing and laughing and feeling a smug superiority.

bupcakesandcunting · 08/06/2011 20:41

Look, I said earlier in this thread that some if these people DO have the morals of alleycats. There is a reason for it in every case. Mamazon explained it quite well as did MmeL. No-one is denying that this type if lifestyle is destructive but a bit of empathy wouldn't go amiss and the eugenics/forced sterilisation thing was just plain offensive.

southeastastra · 08/06/2011 20:42

in the past threads like this would have appeared on tv or chat not the ever hysterical AIBU

mn can't have aibu as a topic and expect people to be nice (they just can't lots of obviously angry people out there)

ShirleyKnot · 08/06/2011 20:44

Arf. Have at it Trillian. You've slipped up anyway.

BrianAndHisBalls · 08/06/2011 20:46

I don't think wanting people to be 'nice' is the same as wanting them not to advocate eugenics is it? Confused

yoshiLunk · 08/06/2011 20:46

Actually I think TrillianAstra should change her name to:-

TheVeryLovelyAndWiseTrillianAstraNotThatOtherChildishTrillianCuntWhoWon'tGiveUpHerCuntingName

I feel quite strongly about this for some reason.

CuntyMacCaw · 08/06/2011 20:47

Yeah, it's handy having more than one name sometimes. You can swap between the two more easily to back yourself up having a cruel dig at posters with depression on relationships threads, for example.
