ditto being tied up, rape fantasies etc

what sort of message does this sort of "fantasy" send to the male of the species? That really, deep down, women want to be dominated? That physical control is sexy?

Honestly. Women who indulge in this sort of twisted self-hatred need therapy. And to grow up.

you wanna join me and booyhoo flyingonion?

OldMacEIEIO · 02/06/2011 18:52

look spider

i have been battered by both sexes. so its not a sexist issue. end of discussion.
I know people who like to dom as well as sub. so its not a power issue. end of discussion.

maybe its just simple pervy excitement ? have you considered that

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/06/2011 18:53

All men that like to be dominated are public schoolboys... just like all hairdressers are called Sharon and drive little MG sportscars.

Gster · 02/06/2011 18:54

TheFlyingOnion

read the Gruaniad actually < flicks hair >

but most of the guys I know who went to private school did have a pretty dreadful time getting punished by teachers and peers alike, and mostly without a woman in miles. That's not healthy, and mostly these guys had problems relating to women.

But stereotypes do tend to hold some truth.

BooyHoo · 02/06/2011 18:54

spider, my shock was at teh idea of a child sexualizing abuse. i think you meant adults who suffered abuse as a child. i certainly don't believe that any chil is sexualising their abuse. how would a chidl know to do that?

MillyR · 02/06/2011 18:54

I don't understand the perspective of the people on either side of the argument.

Mamaz0n · 02/06/2011 18:54

well yes, There are some who have had traumatic experiences during childhood that have affected their sexual developmentin an adverse way. In these cases yes I guess you could blame the parents.

But I genuinly do not believe for one second that everyone that partakes in Sub/dom relationships have all been abused.

It is a bit "feminism for beginners" to blame the patriarchy for (some) women responding favourably to a biologically proven stimulus.

You are trying to put a sociological spin on a biological affect. Whilst this may well play a part in a small amount of cases, in general i think you are talking brown smelly stuff

TheFlyingOnion · 02/06/2011 18:56

"most of the boys I know"

oh right, well I stand corrected. You are obviously able to speak on behalf of every public schoolboy in the country.... Hmm

TrinityIsAShreddingFatRhino · 02/06/2011 18:56

can I paddle you mamazon?

Gster · 02/06/2011 18:56

AmazingBouncingFerret

I did start by saying..

From stereotypes at least...

I didn't say it was the gospel truth.

TheFlyingOnion · 02/06/2011 18:56

stop that girls. you are making me wriggle

ScrotalPantomime · 02/06/2011 19:00

Personally, being tied up doesn't do much for me.

Unless it's accompanied by popping candy.

Blush
TandB · 02/06/2011 19:00

[pulls on thigh-high boots and a haughty expression while stroking paddle thoughtfully]

Mamaz0n · 02/06/2011 19:00

Anytime Trin Wink

In Gster's defence stereotypes are formed from a noticable trend of whatever subject.

travellingwilbury · 02/06/2011 19:00

Can I just ask op , do you have any personal history which comes into this argument ?

I can see how if you as a person has suffered abuse at the hands of a man then this whole argument may be a bit clouded .

ScrotalPantomime · 02/06/2011 19:00

Ooh, or an ice lolly or somesuch.

I should stop now, it's several hours til bedtime Blush

BooyHoo · 02/06/2011 19:01
travellingwilbury · 02/06/2011 19:01

Gster · 02/06/2011 19:01

TheFlyingOnion

you seem to have a problem understanding my posts.

I'm thinking aloud, not stating facts.

This is a discussion is it not.

OldMacEIEIO · 02/06/2011 19:02
