southeastastra · 29/05/2011 21:59

blimey can you explain your answer?

OP posts:
stoatie · 29/05/2011 21:59

words fail me at your crassness and insensitivity

TattyDevine · 29/05/2011 22:00

I think the OP probably means well

southeastastra · 29/05/2011 22:01

what is crass about suggesting we shouldn't be sending teenage boys out there to fight??

crass is not questioning it??

OP posts:
hairfullofsnakes · 29/05/2011 22:01

agree with Stoatie, I don't often say this but what a completely nasty and shit thread to start - you are something else. Horrible and completely stupid and disrespectful.

hairfullofsnakes · 29/05/2011 22:02

if that is what you meant, then word your thread appropriately not in the crass way you did. what you put and how you said it was awful.

southeastastra · 29/05/2011 22:02

am in a parallel universe, it mn really this thick these days?

OP posts:
UrsulaBuffay · 29/05/2011 22:02

The OP is being misread, or rather not read & only the title is being read.

MadamMemoo · 29/05/2011 22:03

I get your sentiment but you could have worded your thread title a little more sensitively.

stoatie · 29/05/2011 22:03

It is not the sentiment of what you are saying it is how you have worded it.

HorseWhisperer · 29/05/2011 22:03

well you don't have to. If it is on TV switch over. If it is in the paper don't read the story.

Moronic thread title. You must be a real twit.

hairfullofsnakes · 29/05/2011 22:03

again, agree with stoatie

TheFlyingOnion · 29/05/2011 22:04

I don't think I need to explain myself tbh OP.

Mollydollydoll · 29/05/2011 22:04

OP what a crass thing to say, you an army wife? Nope I guessed so. My DP is in the army so I know how it feels when they go on tour. What a stupid stupid thing to say

southeastastra · 29/05/2011 22:04

am genuinely amazed how wrongly this has been taken!!

OP posts:
stoatie · 29/05/2011 22:05

I am not thick - my OH was in the services - has fought in conflict. I do agree with your viewpoint but not how you have worded the title -

TattyDevine · 29/05/2011 22:05

Does anybody like hearing about soldiers being killed in Afghanistan, then?

CrapBag · 29/05/2011 22:05

I think the OP means that we shouldn't be out there fighting and people losing their lives, therefore we need to pull out, not that she doesn't want to hear about soldiers dying FFS.

DoingTheBestICan · 29/05/2011 22:05

I dont think op means she is sick of hearing about it i think she means she is sick of hearing about the total waste of young lives who have their whole lives ahead of them still.

Forgive me if i am wrong op.

TheFlyingOnion · 29/05/2011 22:05

can I put inot words what everyone else is thinking

and say, fuck off troll and go and annoy 4chan?

Wottywot · 29/05/2011 22:06

I guess when you hear it every day you grow so used to it, it kind of goes over your head. I know its terrible for the families involved but when it happens almost every day I guess it makes you wonder.
If I am true to myself I think it's a lost cause and one by one our men are slipping away.

MadamMemoo · 29/05/2011 22:06

She isn't a troll, she just worded it badly

TheFlyingOnion · 29/05/2011 22:06

well, crapbag and doingthebest thats not actually what the OP said...

Pagwatch · 29/05/2011 22:07

I think people are reading " I am sick of hearing..." as " I am bored of hearing ..."

I believe the op means

" I am heartsick/ beyond sorrowful/ sick with grief about soldiers being killed"

I think op means it is tragic.
Not that it is dull
