We get a lot of anycdotal/gossip evidenmce which would not even be allowed in a court of law. I think the government target soift options because bankers and bigbusiness are their friends..Y ou dont investigate people who may well donate to the tory party. (The City were reported to have given the Tories eleven million quid..).Cameron said "It wont make any difference. Can youimagine 11 million not being influencial ? I cant. Money that big tends to talk So lets attack the disabled yuk, thrice yuk

I also don't know quite why the issue of eugenics is being skirted around. It's been implied so why don't you just go the whole hog and advocate how people like me shouldn't breed, and our defective offspring be euthanised.

Go on, that's what you want to say isn't it? The perfect solution to dealing with people with disability.

wubblybubbly · 30/05/2011 14:10

They are budgeting to save a massive £2.4 billion through these changes.

They could raise that amount in one fell sweep by ensuring big business paid their fair share of tax.

smileANDwave2000 · 30/05/2011 14:19

its so annoying ive made many points and they are not answered , Hmm beacuse there is no answer im right its obvious certain parts of the country are going to have more claimants they suffer more with ill health and depravation more children under the poverty line earlier death rates (no work) lol yet you ignore the obvious so nice for you to be in this "im never going to claim " bubble lucky ole you , god help you if you have a child with cancer or some other life threatening illness when the NHS dont give you tablets although they can and people on a site like this cast aspersions on your or your dcs eligability or you have a serious mental health issue and people say huh well she looks fine what a waste of space a scrounger , a leach on society as i said earlier i have a very good friend taken off disability because hes out lived thus far his diagnosis (it isnt an incorrect diagnosis) but his body hasnt given up the ghost as quickly as the government would like bloody scrounger.he takes a big bagfull of drugs daily gets bronchitis and pneumonia practically every winter because his immune systems buggered , and had a colonoscopy bag im sure he would love to be jolly ole you and not be claiming opps scrounging and be on here ranting how scroungers are costing us millions and should mmm maybe we should all come off dla and incapacity ill or not and starve and they can then spend all this lovely money on foregin aid and prisoners or wasting it on computer blunders (26b) trident missiles(76b) ID cards (18b) scrapping them now tho assests recovery (50m) and ludicrously (57m) on giving benefits to dead people by mistake doh (2.5m) translators (600 grand) lost phones (800m) on making people feel european???? (4m) on alternative medicine ...some of these and there are loads more i could mention btw im not saying for eg alternative medicine doesnt work but then again im not saying dla helps people get around when they are disbled but it does i dont think being a carer im asking too much for a litte occasional respite (i dont get it) or that these people in glass houses should keep throwing stones and taring me and my disabled \dh who was disabled whilst doing his duty (ex seviceman) and my DS whos autistic and that btw wasnt easy (another story) takes years to get a dx i almost had a nervous breakdown going through his diagnosis the dla gestapo treatment and the statementing via the LA processes then to be compared on here to lazy layabouts pretending to be ill when you cant SEE all illnesses doent mean there not there and then be told how we could save money by a poster who doesnt have a clue about disability , shes probably 20yo no kids and certainly no life experience is beyond me i cant get my head round the selfishness of it YES the government are bullying us for god sake wake up no one minds because yes they would rather uk was like Romania and dcs were thrown in a cot in an insitution and forgotten or drowned at birth and your comparing uk to countries like that its a P* take . reading some of this shite makes me wish i was dead quite frankly i dont want to live in such an uncaring society

Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 14:20

Have just looked at some of the responses on the previous page and the horror is dawning on me that actually..... some of you posters are actually jealous!

How twisted are you people? You're wetting your knickers so badly over all these people having 'free money' that you have completely lost sight of their lives!

smileANDwave2000 · 30/05/2011 14:30

yes deffinately so i even had a parent tell me outside pre school years ago i was a disgrace for having had a disabled son ffs i didnt know in advance he was going to be autistic wtf kind of people say things like that and another parent when my DH got at the time some money for his injuries (ex forces) that it was ridiculous he should get back to work and shouldnt accept it he has lost two limbs and has limited use of his right arm this was when it first happened too she was angry as she over hear me discussing buying our bungalow as DH needed it adapted and couldnt use stairs and she complained how she was doing two jobs trying to make ends meet , dont you think my DH would rather be working with his fellow mates in his unit than sitting in a F wheelchair like a vegetable

Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 14:41

I've had the euthanasia/eugenics thing said to me that many times now it's boring.

ScousyFogarty · 30/05/2011 14:49

SMILE AND WAVE....YOU HAVE TAKEN THE TROUBLE TO DO A BRILLIANT POST. BEST SO FAR BY A COUNTRYMILE. DONT LET THE MEAN SPIRITED PUT YOU OFF

smileANDwave2000 · 30/05/2011 14:49

why do all elderly people get cold weather payment (my neighbour opposite) very nice income before retirement lovely retirement package why does he when he spends so many months abroad per year need a cold weather payment why does my next door neighbour on £200g per year need child benefit ...why are these not capped and only given to those who really need it? it doesnt need to be complicated over a certain income you shouldnt get it there for it could go to those really in need

smileANDwave2000 · 30/05/2011 14:58

ty scousy , i dont think the elderly shouldnt get cold weather payments btw just high income ones who particularly in my neighbours case (and im sure hes not alone in this) who always spends at christmas a month or so in spain because he has no children and it well its COLD in uk isnt it and then theres Cameron getting child benefit??? wtf justice is that

DillyDaydreaming · 30/05/2011 14:58

My son gets DLA as he is autistic so all of you making "jealous" comments can stick that in yer pipe and smoke it. I also get extra tax credits as a result and £10 a year at Xmas. Lucky me eh? The fact that his disabilities don't allow me to work full time and support myself doesn't enter the tiny minds of those who make these negative comments.

Woohoo! Lucky me eh? Having a disabled child and free money. Gosh, what will I spend it all on.

ScousyFogarty · 30/05/2011 14:59

SMILE Means testing has a dodgy history...But a way could be found I suppose if that was what people wanted. Govts would talk of administration costs.WAY And the RICH would say "we paid in for it" Buts its not all that convincing. We are a greedy society. We tolerate people withg 2 or 3 highly paid jobs and others with none. Even Tory MPs are at that in A BIG way

OP posts:
Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 15:03

high fives Dilly

Won't it be great, Dilly, when your DS is no longer considered disabled under PIP. All his needs will melt away magically as the money is withdrawn enabling you to go out there and work.... won't it.

All these people with disabilites that will seek to exist because someone has classified them to not be disabled.

nijinsky · 30/05/2011 15:04

No consideration for anyone but yourselves - you're not exactly doing a lot to promote your cause. But you certainly all know how to talk the "I'm entitled, I'm important" talk, don't you?

Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 15:07

Not as well as you with the "waaaah poor me" guff when you have ZERO idea what our lives are like and don't actually listen when we try to inform.

Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 15:08

And... right back atcha.
You're just looking at it from how people with disabilities affect YOU. Ie tax pounds.

smileANDwave2000 · 30/05/2011 15:09

yep thats so true Scousy oh yes i know means testing but why not just litterally a cap ie if you want child ben you apply simple form proof of income voila they could save on all the benefit errors too making council tax simpler so their staff lol can understand it (as they outright have said to me at the office they find it hard to fathom) Grin are we surprised but yes you would get all these people sayin oh i paid my stamp ect i deserve it but SO DID I and my DH and he paid a heftier price his health sorry lol im back to that again just im so peed off with them aggghhhhh

nijinsky · 30/05/2011 15:10

Not as well as you with the "waaaah poor me" guff when you have ZERO idea what our lives are like and don't actually listen when we try to inform.*

Its actually called having your own opinion and not being swayed by abusive vitriol or bullying.

Loving how you don't care about old people who have paid into the system all their lives and suffer in cold houses they can't afford to heat in winter. Loving how you sympathise with the woman who has to have two jobs to afford to live. Loving how you think no-one except the disabled suffers illness or physical problems.

Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 15:12

TBH though there ARE some elderly people that are very much in need of the CWP. It should have an opt out though, anyone remember Peter Stringfellow trying to give his back and not being able to?

The Welfare State is there for NEED. Whether that be old age, disability, unemployment. I'm stating that for 99.5% of DLA there is NEED and therefore reform in the way the government is implementing is inappropriate. I've even stated ways in which reform could be improved.

nijinsky · 30/05/2011 15:12

And... right back atcha.
You're just looking at it from how people with disabilities affect YOU. Ie tax pounds.

And you simply only care about how much you get for you, and your family. From your remarks, you don't care about anyone else in society. All you see is pound signs, and how much you are entitled to. But you don't care about the people who are providing it. Otherwise you would not object to the system being made to target those who are truly in need. Funny that...

Glitterknickaz · 30/05/2011 15:13

Did I mention the elderly or those with two jobs? (I used to have two jobs but by the by).

Where have I been bullying?

nijinsky · 30/05/2011 15:13

*And... right back atcha.#

Do you think you are in an Eminem video? Seriously, what kind of responsible adult writes in that manner? You sound like a juvenile delinquent.

lesley33 · 30/05/2011 15:14

Drug addicts and alcoholics are often legitametely able to claim DLA - don't assume its fraud. The reason they can often claim is because so many of themgenuinely struggle with everyday tasks. But of course giving a drug addict or alcohol more money, is not the way to help them tackle their problems.

ScousyFogarty · 30/05/2011 15:14

How does anyone who thinks like Glitter sleep at night or look themselves in the face. Turning offensiveness into an art form is just nasty wasted bile. Spew it up and get rid of it.

OP posts:
nijinsky · 30/05/2011 15:15

Although you've probably never had it pointed out to you before, because you live in a version of the world which is different to the experience of the people you are constantly slagging off - the taxapying, hard working "elite", as I suppose you would term them.

Oh yes, and don't I know how vastly different your world is. No-one could possibly fail to. Certainly not guilty of keeping a stiff upper lip, or being overly stoic about it, are you?
