Seeing that there are so many high chairs on the "worst buy" thread, I'll add the Svan wooden one as a best purchase. Ds is now 3 so all surrounds have been removed and he sits on it like a normal chair around the table.

cantpooinpeace · 27/05/2011 23:18

Just been and bought a feather duvet :)

Two new Burmese kittens, I didn't think I'd want to have anymore after having the last two put to sleep a month apart from kidney failure. They are gorgeous and adore me!

iPad, but DH bought it for me

Anything from Apple, the whole family are mac mad

Private education, although DC's went to state for 2 years with no regrets

My gas guzzling Mercedes 4x4 Blush I bought a car purely for minding for the school run and hated it, so back to Mercedes which I have always driven for over 20 years, like a pair of favourite shoes for me.

BikeRunSki · 29/05/2011 09:01

Over the last 6 years I have bought these boots in 3 colours (brown, black and red). Well worth it; they fit my Gruffallo feet, elephant calves, they are warm, dry and comfy, I can walk miles and miles in them and I seem to wear them with everything. DM keep making them in more colours, want purple and teal now too...

scotsgirl23 · 29/05/2011 09:20

3 expensive but insanely affectionate Maine Coons who cuddle us all, including the noisy 1 year old baby!

Replacement engagement ring - bigger and sparklier and I still love looking at it!

My shoe collection - they always make me feel better when I'm having a fat day.

MarioandLuigi · 29/05/2011 09:31

BikeRunSki - I have those boots in bark too - I love them, but agree that purple would be amazing.

Happymm · 29/05/2011 09:43

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/05/2011 11:19

Bedside cot - made night time breastfeeds so easy.

God I think the ipad is such a waste of money - ours never gets used unless by DS occasionally.

Oh and Tom Ford sunglasses - wear them every day.

I now really really want an iPad.

I love my iPhone and my dog. A few years ago when I was going through a very rough patch I bought a warm coat which I could cuddle into and that made me ridiculously happy.

sunshineatlast · 29/05/2011 14:58

Miele fridge - when I got my first flat. V expensive at the time. Still going strong 12 years later.

Baby einstein activity centre, both kids entertained for 6 months, my hands free to do other stuff.

Monthly shiastu massage. I am worth it Smile

cryhavoc · 29/05/2011 15:23

Boydog and Girldog
GHDs
Battered, ancient Honda CR-V. Room for both dogs in the boot and it runs beautifully. Apart from changing the tyres once in 5 years I have never spent a penny on it. And now it is all paid for and is entirely mine.
DD's doll house.

flyingspaghettimonster · 29/05/2011 15:42

when the babies were little it was muslin squares and swing chair, but the most recent purchase that I am so glad I got is our tv. We had been putting up with a tiny old big box thing, with nail varnish over part of the screen, for three years. We saved up for a flat screen and when I went to buy the tv, they made a mistake and sold our one to someone else before delivery. They had to upgrade us to the next model - which is a lovely 60 inch plasma. I thought it was ridiculously big and would be a waste of money, but it has made movie time wonderful and will pay for itself in a year because we no longer bother with the cinema... we don't get any tv channels or cable, sky etc, so just use it for Netflix, but it really has made evenings after the kids are in bed a much nicer, date like experience.

dementedma · 30/05/2011 20:50
