An apple corer and slicer from ikea (easily pleased)

sneezecakesmum · 26/05/2011 22:10

Dishwasher - cannot contemplate life without it.
Sky plus... Can watch what I want, when I want!! Off to watch Dr Who!

ComeWhineWithMe · 26/05/2011 22:10

Cantpooinpeace, everybody on Mn was saying how nice they were so I bought some and it's like a big fluffy cloud covering you up.

The quilt is so squishy and thick you get in and it is all cool and comfortable and then you start to drift off into a warm cosy comfiness.
The pillows are also amazing deep and just head sinkable.

Realise I may be going on too much about my bedding but after years of value bedding I love love love my bed now.

My re-cycled wine glass tumblers from the Eden project. They remind me of our summer holiday and being 'green'. No one else is allowed to use them.

Sat Nav, a lifesaver as I'm always driving on my own with young children. I don't panic about getting lost these days. How did people navigate before sat nav Confused?

wineandcheese · 26/05/2011 22:12

I love love love my DAB radio (gift from DP).

kelly2525 · 26/05/2011 22:13

A fisher price swing for my baby, it rocks it plays music, it was second hand on ebay, best £40 ever spent

Moodykat · 26/05/2011 22:13

Oooh, good point about Sky+, I'll add that to my list too if I may?!

SherlockHolmes · 26/05/2011 22:13

Projection alarm clock with outside temperature - I love knowing what the temperature is outside when I wake up in the night [sad person emoticon].

Sky Plus.

My house - a recent move, my first home that I owned, and I love it to pieces. I love the location (I can see for MILES!) and I love that I can decorate, or do the garden, without asking permission!

My dog. My shadow.

My books. I have too many. And I haven't got enough time to read. But I treasure them all the same.

EggyAllenPoe · 26/05/2011 22:14
  1. dog
  2. car - our Honda Jazz. 6 years of happy driving without it putting a foot wrong.
cantpooinpeace · 26/05/2011 22:14

I have an apple corer which I agree is ace.......my dishwasher has just broken though and we're currently debating whether or not to replace this non-essential item! :(

100 pounds on a VW Anglomania dress in the sale - I have worn it and worn it so cost per wear is v little.

Twinings Earl Grey - far superior to any other kind although I always wince at the price.

And I've only bought a tester size so far but I think that when I invest in the full size Bare Minerals stuff it will be money well spent as my skin seems to like it.

Plus the few pounds I spend in a coffee shop each week - it always feel like a treat!

Bearcat · 26/05/2011 22:16

I pad (have become addicted to MN and never watch a TV programme properly anymore)
Tumble dryer (now 23 yrs old and still going)
Sharps fitted wardrobes (for the extra storage)
Woodburner (has become DH favourite hobby, what with becoming a pyromaniac, seasoned log sourcer, building not 1but 2 log stores)
My 2 cats (first one deceased)

fuzzypicklehead · 26/05/2011 22:16

My Mei Tai-- I can walk all day with my 3 year old in it, which means we can go hiking again!

stickylittlefingers · 26/05/2011 22:17

nike+ - allows me to be spoddy about running. And each of my ipods.

And a long term one, the piano I bought with my first bonus. That was back in 1998, and it's been with me ever since - three countries and god knows how many different houses. Seemed totally extravagant at the time, but now very cheap per year/per play.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 26/05/2011 22:18

Oh and we've certainly had our money's worth out of the Wii, even though I thought dp was insane for buying it almost as soon as it came out.

iEmbarassedMyself · 26/05/2011 22:20

Bath oils. I enjoy baths now when I didn't before, which has made a bigger difference to life than I'd thought possible - I sleep better and am much more relaxed... I really do adore them, I don't quite know who to thank.

springbokscantjump · 26/05/2011 22:20

Ooo

  1. My cat - best money spent (even though she got miffed with me when I got pregnant)
  2. My dishwasher and tumbledrier (actually my mom bought me these when I was pg as she thought it essential, turns out she was right)
  3. iPhone if only for the map function. Heck I lie I love all the apps.
  4. My MacBook
  5. V+. I seriously don't know how I managed before.
  6. muslin cloths. Really sadly they probably are my ds favourite toy.
lunar1 · 26/05/2011 22:22

infocol and my kitchenaid artisan mixer. in that order and not used together.

YesterdaysPants · 26/05/2011 22:22

Feather duvet
iPhone
Plane ticket to see DH again after knowing him for 2 weeks Smile

RockStockandTwoOpenBottles · 26/05/2011 22:22

My iPod Touch - it has saved my (and other passengers') sanity on my regular flights between here and the UK as DC4 is rendered mute the second I hand it to her Grin

BlackBerry even though I sometimes want to stamp on it

Laptop

wordfactory · 26/05/2011 22:22

We have a fair bit of original art, but there is one piece that brings me pleasure every time I look at it. It really is fabulous. It's like bringing the outside into my house.

I'm also fond of my thesaurus - I use it every day.

I'm very glad i bought DH an ipad - he adores it.
And I'm very glad I bought the DC a trampoline and also portable DVD players for the car.

lunar1 · 26/05/2011 22:23

and my slow cooker

springbokscantjump · 26/05/2011 22:23

Sorry to hijack, but fuzzy about your mei tai...

I have a fairly hefty 5 month old ds. Does it not hurt to carry your dc in it? I see people with slings but their babies are always so diddy I wonder whether it is worth it for my not so little one.

WorzselMummage · 26/05/2011 22:25

Our iphones. I literally wouldn't want to be without mine.
