Well...it all started when my old hag older collegue told us that she hasn't had sex for a while because since going through menopause she is "as dry as a nuns cunt"...I laughed and too be honest because of my childish sense of humour I have been sniggering all day...However another very annoyingsensitive collegue was horrified and has since grassed on reported the older one to our boss!!!
How mean is that? Too be as dry as a nuns cunt and then too get into trouble about it....what's with the world today? when did everyone become so sensitive?

Made me snigger..

But i am tres vulgar and have an infantile sense of humour.

MitchiestInge · 24/05/2011 21:19

It's not funny though?

Hulababy · 24/05/2011 21:19

I would never dream of reporting someone for such a phrase or comment. However, I don't really like coarse language myself so wouldn't find it particularly amusing.

pommedechocolat · 24/05/2011 21:19

Working in an industry based on crop supply when supply was low we always said 'tight as a nun's cunt (or chuff depending)'.
I always relished saying it.
YANBU.

SnuffleTurtle153 · 24/05/2011 21:19

She reported her to her boss for having a dry noo noo?

That is odd Confused

PacificDogwood · 24/05/2011 21:20

Young nun's cunts won't be dry though...

Not v funny IMO, but hardly report-worthy Hmm

SugarLemons · 24/05/2011 21:20

I find it highly amusing. How embarrassing to get in trouble for it though.

hester · 24/05/2011 21:20

Let me be the first humourless, PC-gorn-mad fembot on this thread: I don't think it's funny and I do think it's offensive.

McDreamy · 24/05/2011 21:20

Same as Hulababy, I wouldn't go as far as to report someone for saying it but I don't find it funny either.

BlueCat2010 · 24/05/2011 21:21

Pesronally i wouldn't like to hear that at the local pub, let alone in the workplace, however I wouldn't have gone so far as to make a fomral complaint!

Al0uiseG · 24/05/2011 21:21

I used it on MN the other day on a weather thread. I used "chuff" rather than cunt though. I can't see who it could offend.

clappyhands · 24/05/2011 21:21

was already to say YABU when i read title, but after reading who said it and why, i laughed out loud Grin. so YANBU and sensitive colleage is BU

will you send touting colleague to coventry ?

Casey76 · 24/05/2011 21:21

Dry noo noo....Grin

Hassled · 24/05/2011 21:22

tbh I can see why some people might find that offensive. People of faith, or people who hate the word cunt. Poor choice of words in a workplace, I'd have said - but reporting a bit over the top.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 24/05/2011 21:22

I think it's pretty disrespectful but hey, if it floats your boat. Not sure why you'd want to broadcast being so childish though. I'd keep it to myself if I were you.

Casey76 · 24/05/2011 21:22

Yes...said colleague will be in coventry untill her noo noo is fusty and dry..and slighty mouldy

OP posts:
reelingintheyears · 24/05/2011 21:23

You'd hear a lot worse at my local.

Shakirasma · 24/05/2011 21:23

My DH has always used that phrase when he is thirsty.

Well, he says dry as a nuns gearbox, to be specific.

mrsbunnthebaker · 24/05/2011 21:23

i think loads of things are hilarious that have em clutching their pearls in horror on here :)

ohmyfucksy · 24/05/2011 21:23

ew it is gross though

I wouldn't have reported

Well I'm obviously in the childish and tasteless camp as I sniggered loudly when I read the thread title Grin

FannyNil · 24/05/2011 21:26

Perhaps they aren't - so you could be factually incorrect! Why not ask a nun? Never used that expression myself - use the old 'dry as a bone'

worraliberty · 24/05/2011 21:28

It's normally 'as dry as a Nun's chuff'

I don't really like the C word and I wouldn't use the expression in front of a religious person in case it offended them.

But I certainly wouldn't report anyone.

MirandaGoshawk · 24/05/2011 21:29

Course & not funny. I would've ignored it.

I don't see why it's OK to take the piss out of nuns because they choose to be celibate. They deserve respect, IMO.
