Well...it all started when my old hag older collegue told us that she hasn't had sex for a while because since going through menopause she is "as dry as a nuns cunt"...I laughed and too be honest because of my childish sense of humour I have been sniggering all day...However another very annoyingsensitive collegue was horrified and has since grassed on reported the older one to our boss!!!
How mean is that? Too be as dry as a nuns cunt and then too get into trouble about it....what's with the world today? when did everyone become so sensitive?

Yuck - I hate the c-word and shudder whenever I hear it. So vulgar.

So, no, it's not funny, big or clever IMO.

iseeyou · 26/05/2011 08:41

ugh if there is a word i cant stand its the C word, so offensive and sounds disgusting. and when it comes out of the mouth of a female ... ugh ... ashamed of my sex! VULGAR

CocktailQueen · 26/05/2011 08:43

I thin it's horrible and not appropriate at all for an office. i wouldn't have reproted her tho.

cannydoit · 26/05/2011 08:44

cunt is just a word no worse no better than any other swear word, i find it odd that so many people take such offence at it. i remember saying it in a pub lock in once and hardened tattooed men baulked at it. if i had said fucking shit face no one would have batted an eye lid.

cantspel · 26/05/2011 08:45

Vulgar and not remotely funny.
As to whether i would report it then it would depend if it was a one off or part of a series of offensive comments.

Lovecat · 26/05/2011 08:46

I have no objection to the word cunt - I have one and it's brought me many pleasurable moments so I can't see it as a bad thing - however I absolutely shuddered when I read the title of this OP. It's horrendously offensive.

And having read the OP itself, I think you're deeply INsensitive if you can't see that this would be offensive. The workplace is not the place for twattish comments like this. Even if someone said it down the pub I'd call them on it, it's a horrible, vile expression.

YABVVU and rather rude to think that someone should be able to say stuff like that and not get called on it.

Lovecat · 26/05/2011 08:48

Oops, something got lost there - I meant to say that I'm a Catholic, my lovely aunt is a nun as are several other family members and that's why I found the expression REVOLTING.

Animation · 26/05/2011 08:49

Casey - you're being offensive to nuns - basically.

How about "as dry as Casey's cunt" - is that funny! Hmm

cannydoit · 26/05/2011 08:54

yep that is funny, because its still the same joke and if you have a relaxed sense of humour you have a laugh about it and dont get wound up about it. its ok to laugh at things people it doesnt make you bad people.

DuelingFanjo · 26/05/2011 08:56

I really want to know how old Casey is.

IWantAnotherBaby · 26/05/2011 09:44

YABU. Coarse and scummy language. Not funny and just makes the user sound ignorant and vulgar.

MitchiestInge · 26/05/2011 09:50

I love the word cunt, it's one of my favourites (after minge) but, well, what Edam and LRD said.

Also you don't have to be RC or even Christian to be a nun. There are other faiths who also go in for that sort of thing.

noddyholder · 26/05/2011 09:55

The word cunt is in fact the only inoffensive thing about the OP

loosingthewilltoo · 26/05/2011 10:15

when i read this i did have a little chuckle come on ppl its just a word! and used like that by a older woman is pure comedy.

LadyOfTheManor · 26/05/2011 11:02

In terms of "feminism"...I think the word "cunt" is acceptable when it isn't being used as a derogatory term.

If the user cannot help but use it in a derogatory way, then they should be shot at dawn Grin

Some feminists embrace it, some don't use it at all.

The nun bit is in bad taste, but I've heard worse.
