Popcorn! Get yer popcorn here!
Only £1 a tub!

scurryfunge · 23/05/2011 19:42

That dog will get germs. or something. Babies are truly disgusting and a big risk to staffies. Grin

I wouldn't...but I don't have a staffy...I have a rottweiler and he couldn't fit in the moses basket...

MorticiaAddams · 23/05/2011 19:42

Don't worry the dog will be fine. Lots of people have babies and the dogs adjust very well but if it doesn't then the baby can always be adopted.

faverolles · 23/05/2011 19:43

Sorry, yabu.
I have photos of each of my babies with my jack Russell curled up next to them. That would be far more worrying.
(and actually, Staffies are amongst the best family dogs)

slightlymad72 · 23/05/2011 19:46

I'm putting the kettle on, anyone want a brew? I think I've got some hobnobs as well.

faverolles · 23/05/2011 19:46

Oi! Stranded - are you querying my pitch?
Get over to the breastfeeding thread!

OnlyWantsOne · 23/05/2011 19:46

PeterSpanswick · 23/05/2011 19:47

I have a picture of our ds curled up in the dog basket with our two boxers when he was a baby.. Will burn it immediately for fear of others' concern.

Can I ask a geniune question for dog owners? When I was younger, we had a dog, he was lovely and very protective of the family. However, the dog bit a woman on the street who (innocently) raised her arm towards my mum while she was holding my baby sister. Do you ever worry that your protective / maternal / great with the kids dog will be a danger to other people, or is it uncommon for that to happen?
This is not supposed to be read as a all-dogs-are-evil-and-they-will-get-somebody question, just a general query as to whether it is rare / something you worry about.

I'm just lurking for the post where someone points out that a dog may be an animal with teeth or claws but a man is also an animal and the people who pose the biggest threat of danger to their DC are their parents...

Poor staff, I bet he's really cramped having to share with the new baby :(

TurtlesAreRetroRight · 23/05/2011 19:53

£1.49 for 100g? Bugger off. It's 59p per 100g on the market. And you get a free dead wasp.

For the record, I don't much like dogs and wouldn't let any dog sleep next to a baby of mine. But I also don't like prawns and wouldn't feed them to dd and I don't like Bono so won't be buying U2 albums. I wouldn't do it but accept that other people have other ways.
