I am [shocked] that this is a story tbh, just a group of ladies having fun on a hen night in their own time, there are no children or animals involved, and nobody is having sex in the photos so what! The parents reaction is too strong, as long as the teachers teach their children well so what! So they sit at home and have no fun then! Don't tell me that they have never had any fun themselves! So teachers should sit at home watching Embarassing Bodies on a Friday and Sat night then, to have fun and laughs with their mates would be Shock, really the mentality of some peopl.

God, I'd hate that Spinkle!
I live about 15 miles from work, just about right.

takethisonehereforastart · 21/05/2011 23:32

The person who printed off five pages of photo's and shoved them through doors is a stupid, vile cow.

And calling them "tramps" and "scum" is ridiculous.

I hope they have some way to try and get her prosecuted for harrassment or something.

She's clearly mad. Banging on about how any of the children could have seen them on facebook (which they shouldn't as it says they teach at a primary school and facebook don't allow children under 13) but then shoving them through doors for any child to pick up.

And the ones on the article are not even bad pictures, I wouldn't be shocked or offended by them but I would be bloody furious that some poisonous cow had littered my doormat with them out of spite and malice.

letitlie · 21/05/2011 23:50

Oh dear, does that mean some of the pictures of me being out enjoying myself make me a bad parent?? When you're out having fun, you're out having fun, a hen night does not interfere with your performance at work or as a parent, FFS!!

whiteflame · 22/05/2011 01:57

If the parents are so concerned about children seeing the pictures, why post them through the front door of the house where the children live?! No wonder the children have bloody seen them, is it?

heleninahandcart · 22/05/2011 02:35

This is hilarious. Classic Daily Mail and reads like a spoof...

In one image one of the women, wearing a skimpy skirt, is seen with her leg wrapped provocatively around a pole.
She is actually posing for a photo against a square 'pole', can't do much more with that!

Other photos show them flashing their knickers, downing cocktails, smoking and flicking V-signs

Women downing cocktails indeed! the scandal!

A parent of one pupil at the school spotted the pictures, printed off five pages of them and posted them through neighbours? front doors.
What is wrong with this woman FFS? This is bizarre behaviour and probably resulted in more children seeing it that would have done otherwise.

She included a letter which read: ?If you are as appalled as I am by these images which these tramps post freely for the world to see, how safe are our children?

Shouldn't the real question be why a national newspaper gave this credence?

echt · 22/05/2011 07:40

I'll have you know I'm marking students' work right now.

And I have glass of wine at hand.

I'm a rebel, me. :o

Mishy1234 · 22/05/2011 07:56

It just goes to show how careful you have to be. If current or prospective employers get hold of this information it can count against you. It shouldn't, but it does.

Mishy1234 · 22/05/2011 07:58

The parent involved is clearly unhinged though. If someone had done this at my child's school and posted these photos through my letterbox I would be livid, but not with the teachers!

Goblinchild · 22/05/2011 08:26

What about a notice board at school to name and shame parents involved in unseemly behaviour?
A lovely big all-weather one at the school entrance.

RockStockandTwoOpenBottles · 22/05/2011 08:39

Goblinchild I think that's an excellent idea Grin

Foxy800 · 22/05/2011 08:43

They are entitles to a night out for goodness sake but maybe next time they wont put them on facebook or they will make their profile private, as othe pp's have said.

Beckyboo4 · 22/05/2011 08:45

The person who printed off the pictures must be loaded. I mean 5 pages of full colour pictures per household with enough to post through the whole entire neighbourhood. In my house that would be an awful amount of printer cartridges.

agedknees · 22/05/2011 08:48

Parent who posted the photos is probably jealous she was not invited to what seems to be a good night out.

Small person, small mind. She needs to get out and get a life.

TheHumanCatapult · 22/05/2011 08:49

see it would not bother me , infact I have been known to go out drinking with some of ds2 oteachers .When he was at the school and still do and keep in contact when we moved .

Hmm I could make some money quick anyone got the dail mails phone numberWink

Thinks about the photos they may have Blush ok maybe not

MmeBlueberry · 22/05/2011 08:52

They are silly to a) take pictures in the first place, 2) put them on facebook, and 3) have open profiles.

It doesn't really matter that these people were teachers, alcohol and cameras do not mix.

Bonsoir · 22/05/2011 08:59

The pictures are über-tasteless but don't seem to be breaking any laws. Good taste has never been a job requirement for teachers, that's for sure!

cupofteaplease · 22/05/2011 09:05

I told this story to some family and friends yesterday. (One of my colleagues is friends with the deputy head in question, and said how dedicated she is to her job). I was the only teacher in the group. They ALL agreed with the woman who posted the photos through the door. The common consensus was that teachers are professionals and should not be going out getting drunk, smoking, pole dancing etc as they are 'pillars of the community'. They also went as far as to say that teachers should not have Facebook accounts at all as they can never be secure.

I was Shock. Nothing I said could change their opinion. I was more upset that the majority of my family fit the bill of a typical Daily Mail reader. Sad

Goblinchild · 22/05/2011 09:07

Back to my request for a quarter of a million a year to own my life whilst I'm teaching then.

CantThinkOfDecentNameChange · 22/05/2011 09:10

As saw this as as a teacher I was SO cross about it but then sadly not surprised - it's a sign of the society we live in.

We go out as a dept at the end of term and really let our hair down sometimes if we've had a tough term. Other times we all drive, have a quick meal and go straight home. Who's business is it but ours?

My Head teacher is forvever sending out emails to staff asking us to be extra careful if we use FB

RobF · 22/05/2011 09:11

If they are clever enough to be teachers, they should be clever enough not to post salacious photos of themselves on facebook.

Foxy800 · 22/05/2011 09:11

Im of the opinion that if my dd is looked after well and taught well at school then then they are entitled to free time as long as my dd doesnt see what they are doing, which she isnt going to.

At the end of the day just because they are teachers they are still human beings.

Foxy800 · 22/05/2011 09:12

As I said earlier they need to be more careful on facebook though.

CantThinkOfDecentNameChange · 22/05/2011 09:13

Imagine we the teacher took offence at pictures posted by less than desribale parent behaviour - believe me, that will be more common!

I've had parents turn up stinking of booze to meetings. That's responsible?

echt · 22/05/2011 09:13

I don't have and never have had a Facebook account. I'd like to say it's because of the security, because I have recent experience of the fallout from hacking of private messages, but really it's because I can't be arsed.

And it's for 10 year-olds.

As for teachers being some special part of society, "pillars of the community" then start paying them special wages which reflect this elevated status.

FFS - what other job, really, gets this kind of stick?

Not one.

Goblinchild · 22/05/2011 09:13
Grin You thought those pictures were salacious Rob? You sound like my grandmother. I agree that they were fools not to have friends only settings on FB.
