her DC loves Shepard's pie.

So I stayed up late last night and made the pie, slow cooked the mince, boiled carrot, broccoli, onion, fresh herbs, into beef stock, and blended, as her DC doesn't "like" vegetables.

So friend came and asked how I made her, she then proceed to say DC wont like it, as DC likes cheap mince, boiled tattie and gravy granules and that's it!. Hmm

Apparently my Shepard's pie, is the best ever and DC asked for seconds, the look on her face was Angry while mine was Grin

Rather mean of you to be smug. Why not be pleased that you found a way to help your friend get her DC to eat vegetables?

WobblyWidgetOnTheScooper · 17/05/2011 14:34

:o

Although I don't see how the price of mince came into it - could she tell it was waitrose finest or something?

JeremyVile · 17/05/2011 14:35

Well thats a nice little story isn't it? But the way you tell it makes me want to kick you.

Hth.

diddl · 17/05/2011 14:36

Children often eat things at other people´s houses that they don´t/won´t at home.

Not sure that smugness is really necessaryGrin

SpawnChorus · 17/05/2011 14:36

Haha! Jeremyk just hit the nail on the head.

MsToni · 17/05/2011 14:36

no she asked, and I said mince, from the farmers market, apparent its nice mince, and her DC only likes "cheap" mince.

My friend wont take the advice, we've tried a lot, she does it her way or no way.

sofaqueenie · 17/05/2011 14:44

I think YABU - smuggy mums are the worst kind.

If you've tried offering her advice on getting her LO to eat better, maybe ask her to seek professional help in the way of a nutrionist if she's worried. If she's not, let her get on with it. It doesn't affect you too much does it?

GoFullForce · 17/05/2011 14:44

Thankyou, was wondering which way was the correct spelling.

I need a life, my day has consisted of watching 3, under 2, and this has been the highlight of my day, THREE babies are very hard work, all asleep, hence ME time Grin.

JeremyVile · 17/05/2011 14:46

Perhaps you need some advice on contraception?

fantagrape · 17/05/2011 14:46

Shepherd's pie is lamb. Shepherd - sheep and all that.

If it was beef it's cottage pie.

Smuggo.

MamaChoo · 17/05/2011 14:46

My heavens, she won't take advice and does it her own way? I am shocked! Shocked! I've never heard such a thing!

stickytoffeepud · 17/05/2011 14:48
