Princess Diana-do you believe she was murdered?

ChampersPampers · 08/05/2011 11:43

I often meet people who are convinced she was 'bumped off'.
Wondered if it's only small percentage of peoples view or do alot of people believe this so called murder to be true?

That (horrible) photo has been online for ages. Keith Allen is a self-servint attention seeking twat.

bronze · 10/05/2011 09:02

Think you have to remember the bridesmaids were Catherines department and presumably she chose little ones she had associated with.

PinotGrigiosKittens · 10/05/2011 09:08

I suspect you could find fault with anyones choice of any subject if it were exposed to such over the top scrutiny such as this....

wendihouse22 · 10/05/2011 09:23

Yes, I know who Sophie is.

But, my point, and I'm not the only one to have made it is....Earl Spencer has young kids. They were not included. They too, are cousins to William.

Bronze, take your point that they were ultimately Kate's bridesmaid choices.

bronze · 10/05/2011 09:27

Of course there is a chance that Earl Spencer or his kids mum said no. I would have to do some serious weighing up if I had been asked and may have said no

PinotGrigiosKittens · 10/05/2011 09:27

Don't Earl Spencers kids live with him in SA? Maybe it was just logistics? Either way, Wills and Harry showed their warmth towards Charles, Jane and Sarah at the Abbey by immediately going over to them and chatting. They're not actors - you could see the warmth. Wills spoke to Sarah and the girl cousins, Harry went straight to Charles and kissed Jane.

Thought it was telling that William and Kate chose Camilla's granddaughter to be bridesmaid. I would take that as a message to the world that he does not have a problem with Camilla.

TrillianAstra · 10/05/2011 09:47

How tiring it mst be, when choosing little bridesmaids, to have to work out the politics of it all.

I suppose it's the same in all families, but at least most people don't have the world looking at why they chose cousin Rosie and not cousin Daisy.

PinotGrigiosKittens · 10/05/2011 09:48

I too thought it was a lovely gesture to include Camillas granddaughter in the 'family' like that.

Wills is a fine young man, he really is.

TrillianAstra · 10/05/2011 09:53

Why do people keep calling him a 'young man' or them a 'young couple'?

They're 29. Clearly adults. Around the average age to be getting married for the first time. Plenty old enough to be doctors or lawyers or police officers or to have spent quite a long time in the army. Old enough to have been married for years and have a 10 yr old child. (if they had then you would have been justified in referring to them as a 'young couple' at their wedding :) )

bronze · 10/05/2011 09:57

I'm fine with people calling 29 year olds young Grin

PinotGrigiosKittens · 10/05/2011 09:57

Not sure I understand your point, Trillian? 29 is young, and he's a man, so...

Why do you find it such an objectionable term?

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 10/05/2011 09:57

Well they're younger than me

TrillianAstra · 10/05/2011 10:10

Not objectionable at all, sorry if I came across that way, it just seems a bit silly. Maybe a little patronising too. Would you have liked to be called "young lady" at 29? :)

"Nice young man" sounds like you are complimenting someone on the behaviour of their teenage son.

PinotGrigiosKittens · 10/05/2011 10:16

I believe it's a respectful thing to say. I think it's a shame to have it tainted as patronising. The idea that the term "young" stops at teenage years is something I really don't understand at all.

Wills is a young man starting out on his married life - I stand by my comment that he is a fine young man.

I get that you have issues with it but we'll agree to disagree.

JimmyChooChoo · 10/05/2011 10:24

They are a young couple imo.
Althogh I see Trillians point.Nobody calls Charles and Camilla 'the old couple'.
Young is a compliment I guess.

TotemPole · 10/05/2011 10:28

I still think of William and Harry as being teenagers.Blush

CarefulWithThatAxeEugene · 10/05/2011 11:25

Camilla is not and never has been a Catholic. Her first husband was a Catholic but she did not convert to marry him. It is not compulsory.

wendihouse22 · 10/05/2011 12:51

Apologies. My mistake. I do know that prior to his marriage to Camilla, Andrew Parker Bowles was invovled with Princess Anne (before her marriage) but there was NO WAY Anne could have married a Catholic. The Parker Bowles children were raised Catholics. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CATHOLICS OR INDEED ANY OTHER RELIGION BEFORE YOU START HAVING A GO!

Point is, Diana was in the way of their affair. The pair of them (Chas and Camilla) behaved dreadfully. I'll never forget that conversation recording of him, our future King, whilst he was still a husband to someone else, describing how he would like to be Camilla's tampon and ..... THIS is our future King? Oh dear.

BalloonSlayer · 10/05/2011 13:02

"I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CATHOLICS OR INDEED ANY OTHER RELIGION BEFORE YOU START HAVING A GO!"

Fair enough, but in that case you might want to consider asking MNHQ to delete your post in which you said: "Camilla. The adultress.... the Catholic.... the woman who, in our national grief following the death of Di, we said NO WAY! would we ever tolerate. " because it certainly comes across like that.

JimmyChooChoo · 10/05/2011 13:14

He said he wishes he was Camillas tampon??That's truly vile.Dirty man.Shock

donnie · 10/05/2011 13:44

well all I can say is thanks Christ I come from a council estate. I can shag who I like and never be bumped off!

TrillianAstra · 10/05/2011 14:06

I don't need to "have issues" with everything that I comment on or disagree with. I have opinions, that's all. Fine to agree to disagree :)

wendihouse22 · 10/05/2011 14:46

Stop being nasty and utterly ridiculous Balloon. She was an adultress. No argument with that one, have you?

And Trillain.... I have opinions too. Mine seem to be being slaughtered repeatedly because many of you don't agree with me. But some do, so leave you're horrid remarks for something more worthwhile, would you?

meditrina · 10/05/2011 14:51

wendi: I think I've disagreed with some of your posts, so can I say (for balance) that I loved the one about the Queen Mother...in the library....with the spanned.
